If the birth parent names aren't on a birth certificate or other official paperwork (adoption records and the like), it would be difficult, if not impossible.

Hospital records may have the mother's name, but may or may not still be in existance (depending on age, etc.) and even if they are, run into identification problems (if you don't know the mother's name, it's hard to get her records) and privacy concerns. Modern hospitals now start medical records for the infant on birth - these might have the mother's name in them.

Well, almost anything is possible! Do you have, or can you get your birth cert.? Their name may be on that. Actually there could be several possible ways to get to it. Have you ever done any genealogy research?

The Church of the Latter Day Saints (The Mormons) are the biggest source in the world of records. There collection is EXTREMELY large. I believe it is something like 500 million records! It usually costs a small amount to get copies of records from them. If you can go to their main center (in Salt Lake City, Utah) you can look at the records right there. Also, most branches of their church (look for the one nearest you) have satellite genealogy centers in them. It may take some digging, but just perservere and you WILL get what you want....good luck!

If you search under the terms "adoption search angels" there are people who will help you at no cost. Also, list your name at adoption search sites to enable your birth parents to locate you. There are many free ones, don't pay for the service, they can't do any more than the free sites.
I found my birth family this way and am now very close to them.
Good luck!

I know nearly no details about this service, it's some sort of registry for childen/parents involved in an adoption, who r looking for 1 or thee other.
I only know of it b-cuz my 2nd grd child was to be given up for adoption & the dad didn't want to sign. So the adoptive parents, & birth mother were to put personal info (all that u do know,i.e. city only a 1st name, what city, time of conception,a general description of the 1 you're lookin' for: things of this nature) into this ?registry? ( I don't know what's it's called) in case he was to ever look for his child.
Best to you & your efforts
