Why do so many people have the last name of Smith? Several times more than Miller or Taylor (other names take from medieval occupations). Thanks.

do canadians who have scots heritage consider themselves just as scottish as the scots from scotland.
I have scottish heritage but do not consider myself scottish.
But i have spoken to canadians who (laughably) consider themselves scottish first.

would anyone back this statement up

It's kind of cool, like seeing my grandfather on a motorcycle in the 1930's for instance. Just thought I would share.

Thanks for those who answered my question about moving out and the guy I am in love with. I am planning my escape, and yes I have paid my dues to where I am living. The guy I mentioned knows I care about him. I don't understand him, he hints that he is interested, implys it to other people, but when it comes down to really talk, nothing. My friend asked him to tell me he is not interested but instead, he wrote me a polite email basically saying nothing. I don't know what to do. I know I should just ignore him

kIs it an ego thing? I fail to understand it and know that many people enjoy it and that is good for them but how pointless is it actually given we all come from God,thru Adam and eve. Most important is when we are born again-any previous geneology connections are, therefore, null and void to a Christian.

I'm looking for my friend from high school. We lost touch about 7 years ago. I moved down south to S.Carolina when I got married, and I think she still lives in the Richmond or Chesterfield County areas of VIRGINIA. I would like to wish her a Happy Birthday. I've tried looking in our phone book from Richmond, but she's not listed. If y'all could help, I'd appreciate it. Anyone with ANY info can email me through Yahoo answers, or IM me on AIM: My AIM is SMELLMYPIGS.
