I don't mean this as a topical or trick question. I just can't believe that anyone has that much patience. It's like reading the entire works of Shakespear with pages missing at the vital points.

I'm looking for the title on a story i read when i was in middle school. It was about a little girl that was born deaf and blind and a teacher was brought in to help her. We read the story and the teacher then showed us the video. The video was black and white. I'm trying to find all the old stories that where converted into movies. Please if you guys remember any it would be great! I found to kill a mocking bird by hitchcock.

I think he did. Though he hated James...

Some people think that it's Snape's love for Lily Potter that made him return to the good side.

He really regreted reporting what he overheard that night at the leaky cauldron...
he didn't know Lily was gonna be killed because of it.

He overheard the prophecy that was told to dumbledore by Sybill Trelawney, he reported it to Voldemort which resulted in the dark lord killing Lily and James Potter...

Btw isn't it interesting that the prophecy could've applied to both Harry and Neville? They both fit the description as they were both born in July. It could've been anyone of them...

...So what do you think??

I have the above book by the author Comte C. Saint-Germain. It has no ISBN# and the copyright is 1897. The publisher is Laird & Lee, Chicago. There is not indication on the book what printing this was. I'm curious of it's value, or whom I should contact to get it.

It was a winter night as cold as ice, and as dark as the ashes of the campfire that had been seen by a small girl from the window of an orphanage. A campfire that had meant strength for the poor homeless people, until the night took the fire the way a murderer takes a life. Uncaringly, and without knowing what it would cause. But this is not meant to be a sad story, so let us focus on the girl, who looked out of the window, and saw the light and hope of those poor, poor people, disappear.
[Let them come.] she thought, she pleaded, [Let them come, those dreams, the beautiful figments of my sub-conscious mind. Let me see once more what I cannot see consciously. Let them come.] And as Heather’s wish was granted, and she felt the disconnected feeling of being quietly encased in a dream, she was yet unaware that these were not from her sub-conscious, because one other person now lay asleep having the same dream. The second person, the second person was named Bill Gates. Any Title Ideas?

5)Chapters 1-9 introduce three of the novel's important settings: the cemetery along the marshes, the house where Pip lives, and Satis House. In a sentence or two, describe each of these settings. In which setting does Pip seem the most secure? the least secure? Support your answers.
6)Considering the lonely and isolated settings in which the characters appear, explain how each of the following characters is lonely and isolated: Pip, Pip's convict, Miss Havisham, and Estella.
7)List two or three of Joe's character traits that Pip finds admirable. Explain whether or not you think Pip shares any of these traits.
8)At the end of chapter 9, Pip is aware of "great changes" in himself. In what ways has Pip chaged since Chapter 1? Cite examples to support your answers.
9)Why do you think Pip lies about what he saw at Satis House? What would you have done in his shoes?
I still have six questions I will put on one more question.

I need a topic to write 15-20 pages on Brave New World. There needs to be significant writing done on the topic, on which I will (of course) expand. So far I am drawing a blank. Any takers? Ordinarily I have little trouble coming up with essay topics, but this particular book has stumped me. By the way, this is for a graduate course.
