Doesn't history itself disolve as any meaningul scientific dicipline? (This is being asked by a lover of history who respects a deep conversation between intellectual disicplines, so don't feel you have to be too defensive or overly aggressive, just identify the logical relationship, the quid pro quo.)

There is this Kids book that I used to read all the time when I was7.
It was about a brother and sister who's, I think it was their Uncle, who owned this Old Hotel and he died and left the hotel to their father.

They began exploring the hotel to find it was haunted.
They also began having conversations with some of the ghost like in the sauna where the ghost would write messages on the glass with the steam.

I don't remember much except a few details but I remember I liked it very much.

Does anyone remember this book? i think it came out sometime in the 80's.

Thanks.

I'm searching for pictures of dragons that are well drawn, pretty fully fleshed out in a variety of myth-like settings. Ideally would be a large red, blue or black dragon (or an interesting combination of colors) nearby or approaching an obviously chaste virgin in white who's clearly bound in place, while standing, yet is also clearly there as the sacrafice. Would love to see a proud and accepting expression on her face that is congruent with her body language.

Hmm, I'm not asking for much, am I? :) lol

This would be utilized as thoughtful input to a tatoo.

Additionally, any artists that would be interested in working with me to sketch out something like this?

i'll be taking my A levels in english literature this year. my lit teacher insists that wuthering heights is not a true-blue gothic novel when compared to dracula ect. he said that although there are references to ghosts and devils and the like, the characters are essentially human. my teacher said that it does contain a gothic touch but that's that. true but other schools teach their students that it is gothic.

what are your opinions?

I am doing a "little piece of theater" and at one point we are lowering pieces of chain from a steel catwalk. I was thinking of stripping down a 10 dollar pair of headphones and using the mini-speakers as a contact mic -- taping the piece right to the chain to pick up the distorted ...uh...chain sounds.
Think it'll work -- is there anything I should anticipate?

My daughter would like to perform a humorous selection for her high school speech team, so far she is not satisfied with the selections available at school. Does anyone know where we might be able to find more humorous selections for her to choose from? These selections are usually 5 to 7 min long, and the single performer does multiple characters.
