Ancient Egypt. I love cats so I would have fit right in. I love Egyptian artefacts (I have a collection of miniature pyramids, sarcofogi, sculptures etc.) It was just such a beautiful period.
I want to travel to Egypt one day to see the pyramids. So amazing.
Someone I know who believes in reincarnation thinks that I lived back then. Maybe I was Cleopatra. Always loved cats and snakes & heavy black eyeliner tee hee

cusco, peru just before the troubles between huascar and his brother atahuallpa!!!the city itself gleamed with 3 foot wide cornices of three inch thick by many foot long heavy golden panels inset into channels carved in the living rock of all ofthe principal structures, temples and villas!!!from a great hole in the wall of one edifice came a stream of conjoined strings, cables, ropes and interwoven colored networks of cordage ..all knotted with the history of every person, animal herd, bundle of cloth, llama wool and foodstuffs ever existant in the realm of the inca emperors!!!which when pizaaro took the city was cut to pieces and burned!!!the rememberers wondered over these string notations for all who had requests for facts on past weather and harvests as noted in the knotworks!!!a man from the lowlands could come to cusco and get his entire family history from people who had never left the altiplano!!!gold and emeralds were seen everywhere encrusting capes and personal adornments, statues and images of the gods!!!and a "golden chain that would encircle the entire plaza would be unrolled yearly to inculcate the youths into warriror caste and assume adult duties!!!the chain was so large that a man could put his hand through the joined links and it was hundreds of yards long!!200 men could not carry it!!and now it is lost forever!!the only european to ever see it on it's way to randsom atahuallpa was the conquistadore desoto who later died in the mississippi river...buried there in his conquest armor,mid-stream!!!he had seen it those many years before ;but didn't know what he was seeing!!!he cutt the fiber bridge between his cavalry troop fearing that the thousands of bearers that were carring the treasures to randsom their ruler with gold might overwhelm his small troop sent out to see the treasure caravans' progress and and reconoitre the ground before cusco for it's later occupation by the reinforced spanish troops coming from equador behind him!!the shimmering golden serpentine spectacle was a single object coiled in fours on the backs of bearers with poles on their shoulders.."the golden chain" the greatest treasure this world has ever seen in one object!!it could never have crossed the fiber bridge any how ;but of needs would hve to have been dropped into the chasm of the river's gorge and dragged up the opposing bank on the other side..a daunting task to be sure!!!all lost now!!!......or is it????
