Arts & Humanities - 30 June 2006

I'm going to a junior and we have already done "Cinderella", "Grease", "Anything Goes", How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" and "Ragtime".
We need a musical that is not on Broadway currently andhas a lot of parts, with a focus on the female parts more than the males since there are more girls in the program. Something fun and with awesome songs and chorus numbers. I need your input!
BONUS! Gotta a play (no music) that fits the critria? TELL ME!

What if you had this question about something but then all of a sudden all the teenagers came out and started talking about boys and girls and stuff and then all of a sudden the gay people started asking why straight people hate them and then the straight people got all shook up and threatend to beat up all the muslims and then some chinese guy pulled a race card and then the jews came up and wrote a song with some fundamentalist quoting scripture and eating meat in front of all the peta people with all the black guys making fun of all the white guys who were downloading porn while the liberals whined and the conservatives made more money?

Wouldnt that be just toooo F-ing Weird?

Tell me this, if there were a society on some other planet that was perfectly willing to sacrafice as many soles as we have to wars to the success of ineterplanetary travel rather than to war. Do you not believe that, by trial and error alone, they might very well be far more advanced than we in such areas of developement?
Think about how quick we are to give up on what seemed like a wonderful idea when we loose, or almost loose a few brave and wonderful soles that truly believe in what they are doing, and yet we seem to be perfectly ok with loosing hundreds of thousands to a cause that so few believe to be worth the loss? Ironic wouldn't you say?

My school has an annual homecoming parade and each class makes a float. The theme this year is seasons. My class got summer. I would like some ideas for the float and what to put on it. Our class mascot is Mickey Mouse and our school mascot is the Spartans just to give some more detail. If possible i would like something that moves mechanically on the float. Please give me some ideas. Thanks.

There r so many rumours that go about the existance of the Lost Continent Atlantis. Many scientists believe it to be pure myth.. but have they actually tried doing in depth research or archaeoligical exhibits to try and find its existance? I've noticed that lots of people who ask questions about specific issues (religious and political questions particularly) pick the best answer that agrees with their views. If questioners do this, then what's the point in asking questions?

We've all pretty much heard the debate about whether or not homosexuality is a choice or is it genetic. But I noticed no one ever asks "does it matter"? I figure if someone believes you are evil, or "living a life of evil", then they wouldn't care whether you chose that way or it came natural. They're going to want to change you either way, and that is the problem. If it's a choice, then its psychotherapy and prayer that's the "cure". If it's genetic, then it's gene therapy or something like it to fix the "defect". What do you think?
