A good approximation is that the smallest wavelength possible for a sound wave in a gas is the separation distance between molecules. Find the highest-frequency sound wave possible in an atmosphere in which the wave speed is 403 m/s, the density 1.18 kg/m3, and the average molecular mass is 4.82 10-26 kg. Assume that the molecules form a cubical grid.

assume the air molecules are spherical and that they touch so that the
distance from center of one molecule to the center of another molecule is 2rmolecule

I need some kind of crappy job right now. Mickey D's is hiring. For those of you who have worked there, what is it like? How does it compare to other low wage jobs?

I prefer "simple" and "boring" and "mindless" to "tiring" and "stressful". Also I have a slight back problem, otherwise I would be doing stocking, which is otherwise awesomely mindless.

I personally hate the one where the people are having a licking contest with the oreo cookie, especially the grandma and little girl. Gross. I hate the new Xmas Fortunoff commercial where they speak the lyrics to "Let it snow". UGHH! Also, the Geico commericals where the "real person" tells the story with a celeb and Beyonce's Direct tv where she holds the "upgrade" in her mouth. Oh, the new Glad commercial where it pauses and a voice says words like "thrifty" in a 70's fashion.
I change the channel when any of these come on.
Which do you hate?

I can't believe it. Given, my bike has been known to set off a few car alarms, but people understand that loud pipes save lives. Sometimes I feel a little bad about waking people up at night, but its a small price to pay for my safety. And the cop that gave me the ticket said that if he were the dictator of the city, he would impound my bike and then send it to the crusher if I didn't put the stock pipes back on. Can you believe that commie crap? Whats this country coming to?

I asked this question last night. but all though I agree with has been written, I dont actual mean physical heating!

As within a microwave oven, microwave radiation causes molicules to vibrate and heat up. Gobal warming has seamingly increased in the last 30 years, around the same time we have been sending more satilates into space for mobile communications, radio dishes and mobile phone masts, and Wi fi. Pigeons flying in the path of radio dishes can be instantly cooked, so with all these's signals and radio waves, there must have an effect, in heating up the atmosphere.

I mean that If radio waves can cause molicules to vibrate and heat up.

Mobile phone masts have been opposed on health questions

A micro wave oven doesn't produce that much heat to cook. With so much radio wave and other radiation criss crossing the globe, then is'nt there a chance then, we are microwaving ourselves

my friend lives in a devlopment, pretty new, only like 10-20 yrs old. it has 110-120 homes. but this is the thing. it has a brick wall around the whole community, which i guess isnt technically a development. they also have a pit to gather water and a bunch of flags in a line when u enter, and a black and gold sign saying the name at the entrance. now if i wanted to buy a home just like that but in another part of the state would they tell me (online) if they had a brick wall around it? how many homes? b/c i really like this community he lives in but is too much. any ideas? answer my questions too. do all these communties need to have a wall around them? it isnt gated (thats senior communites) and doesnt have a Gate around it.

One would think after 2,000 years Judas would have taken over heck since without Judas, there would be no resurrection of Jesus.

Why hasn't this happened? Why give the Devil all the credit when it's folks like Judas and the talking snake from the Garden of Eden which are the causes of modern day non-profit Christianity?

Ok here is my problem. I'm working on a 1984 Toyota pickup with the fuel injected 22R engine. Its my neighbors truck and i have been asked to help him fix it. His battery kept dying and i told him it was the alternator(checked with a volt meter). He was getting less than 12v while running. I disconnected the battery cable and it died. we took out the alternator and had it benched tested, they said it was bad and he got a new one on warranty. We installed it and still less than 12v. I know quite a bit about mechanics but its electrical problems that stump me. I checked the power going into the alternator through the plug and there is constant power through all 3(about 10v) and it goes up to about 12v when the key is turned on. I checked the output of the alternator and it only read 2v.weird. I checked all the grounds and they are all good. We checked all the fuses(under the hood and inside the truck) and haven't found any that were bad. We changed the voltage regulator and that didn't help. I checked for power through the disconnected alternator wire and it had voltages consistent with the battery. I tried the magnetic test on the alternator(screwdriver on the back) and it wasn't magnetic when running(that means the alternator is not working right?) He replaced his battery and i made sure all his wires had a good connection(block, body, starter, etc.)We checked to make sure the belt was tight enough. Is it possible to have gotten a bad alternator or is our problem something more serious? I'm running out of ideas!!!! Help!!
