There is a lot the Government does that the civilian population is not aware of and it is in the best interest of the people to keep it that way. If the people of this country knew everything the Government did we would have another civil war. Those for the actions and those against. Sometimes not knowing is best.

Yes they do all the time. They pass bills without us knowing all the details in it all the time, and sometimes they just word things in a weird way to trick us into getting what they want instead of what the public really wants and needs. Just recently they got a thing passed in a near by that was worded in a way that if you wanted (a toll road put in the middle of town, or something silly) you had to vote no and if you didn't want it you needed to put yes.

You have got to be kidding, right? The government HAS to do things without the general public's knowledge - that's why Stealth bombers were secret for ten years before they were made known to the public. The government has to keep some secrets - its a military necessity.

Thats a YES.
Of course they are. We never know about anything untill last minute or it has already happend. Half the stuff we find out about the goverment never wants us to know, The only reason we find out is because the media gets a hold of it.

Of course, what is Area 51. No one outside of the government really knows for sure. It could be a government resort for all we know.
