This is for teachers and subs. I am a sub, and I am wondering how many of your balance the line between being mean to the students, and cool with them. I like a point in between is good because sometimes you have to be mean and strict, and other times, you can be cool with them. I used to lean more toward strict, but now I lean more toward cool because it makes the job more fun. So which side do you all lean toward?

Infant deaths in the 1950s?
While doing an anthropological study, I found in one of the local cemeterys the tombstones of almost 20 infants and small children in the 1950s. How can this be explained? Please include sources if possible. STUDY DONE IN EASTERN ONTARIO, not sure if this is significant

One of my friends says that we could to Mars anytime we wanted, that all we would have to do is just build the spaceship to get there and go, i said that there is more than just building something and doing it but then he started going on about tax payers paying 20k for a toilets seat and stuff like that, but do you think with technology the way it is now that we could just go to Mars with the level of technology the way it is now?

i have a boyfriend and we've been going out for like 2 weeks and the first time we kissed was all off and bad. so i was really nervous that i was going to mess up again and we just made out the other night and it was HORRIBLE. he was fine, but i didnt do anything at all, he even told me i was bad.. which is the worst. so i cannot mess up again and it really sucks because i dont know what to do! any advice on not messing up during making out?!

I have a 96 Ford Ranger I have already replaced the alternator twice and I think it might begoing bad again. Is there something that might cause the engine to burn these things up, or maybea a electrical problem that the sops are missing?

I am a gay Christian male. I have constantly been harassed by some Christians who judge me for my sexual orientation. They quote certain Biblical passages but seem to forget some of the most important words Jesus ever spoke.

Luke 6:31

"Do for other people everything you'd like them to do for you."

Luke 6:37-38

"Stop judging, and you will not be judged. Stop condemning, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and you will receive. A large quantity, pressed together, shaken down, and running over will be put into your pocket. The standards you use for others will be applied to you."

Also John 3:18-19

I remember the night of the 31st December 1999. The whole world was talking about the mellinium. Presidents made speaches, all news staions broadcasted the ceremonies and it really felt that people world wide crave for peace.

Alas, there was 9/11. Iraq, Afghanistan, Darfur, Lebanon, and all the other major and non major wars.

WHY PEOPLE? WHY CAN'T MEN AND WOMEN LOVE EACH OTHER WHATEVER THEIR COLOR, RACE, RELIGION?

We need to appreciate life and love each other and stop fighting.

..One, (a stupid 50yr old man), Was Trying To Make A Free Right Turn At A Red Light. The Other (a stupid 37yr old woman) Was Attempting To Walk Across The Street In The Cross Walk From The Stupid Mans Right. Neither One Of Them Looked At Each Other To See What The Other Was Going To Do. Next Thing I Saw Was The Stupid Woman Walking While The Stupid Man Turned Right, Hitting Her & Knocking Her On Her Butt.

I have 2 abandoned kittens that I took in 2 days ago, vet estimated them to be between 4-6 weeks of age. They cannot manage the kitten food I was given but love the kitten formula. However, they are now having white stools, which I read are caused by formula intolerance. Unfortunately I can't find any info on what to feed as an alternative to kitten formula, and the vet is closed. Any guidance would be much appreciated. I'm not normally a cat person but these babies have won my heart, and they are a part of our family now.

Well, there's a pretty darn big bug (it must be over an inch long. I think it might be a cricket or grasshopper, but I'm not sure) in front of my closet, and I'm having problems getting over my squemishness. I know I should just take a broom and dustpan, sweep it up and throw it away, but whenever I start I feel like I'm going to throw up, and I can't get anyone else to get it for me. Help?

The answer the book gets is 149. How was that determined?
