According to Special Relativity, the distinction depends on one's frame of reference. That makes them two parts of an integrated continuum called "space-time". Even before relativity, though, time and space describe the four dynamical independent variables (degrees of freedom) shared by all events. That alone is enough to put then in the same catagory.

They talked about this in H.G. Wells book "The Time Machine".
Time is a variable of space, but unlike the other 3 dimensions, we only move in one direction in it, so its difficult for us to see. However if you place an object in a certain point in time, it can only be viewed at that time window.

Time is not another dimension, its just a way to measure. You cannot travel back in time, nor can you travel into the future. You are always in the present.

its a way to show a change in a value, for example think of a ball in 3D space bouncing forward, its x,y,z cordinates change, but these also change depending on another variable time
the coordinates the ball was at the first second may not be the same as the coordinates the ball is going to be 60 seconds later
