i moved several hours from home to start college. i'm taking 15 hours - sociology, comp, anatomy and chemistry. i'm worried that i'm going to be so focused on getting lost and not knowing anything about the campus that it will hurt my grades because i'll be too nervous to use the library or the help centers. i really want to do well in college but i'm really nervous. plus i am taking those two science classes, which i'm not very good at. i don't know anyone else that is going to the same school as i am. i think i have a social anxiety disorder so i stress out about everything. any advice?

To what degree do your religious views influence this perspective?

Obviously there are a lot of possibilities so I will provide some examples to help focus the question. I am an American so this list is necessarily influenced by 'that' social upbringing. Of course, feel free to just "talk" and not address any of these specifically.

Dogs
Apes
Dolphins
Elephants
Parrots
Pigeons
Eagles
Fish (general)
Turtles
Alligators/crocodiles
Snakes (poisonous/large constrictors/"dangerous")
Snakes (nonpoisonous/"nondangerous")
Butterflies
Beetles (general)
Ants
Mosquitos
Octopi

I'm only about 15 weeks, and I'm already bursting out of most of my normal sized bras. I was thinking of getting the next size up, but should I wait? Will they get even bigger? Will they ever be their original size again?

A guy is offering me Playstation 3, 60 GB with two controllers. 5 games - RESISTANCE FALL OF MAN, TONY HAWKS PROJECT 8, MADDEN 07, MOTORSTORM, AND RIDGERACER 7. He has the recepit for it, but didn't buy the extended warranty as he bought it at the initial launch which was back in December. Great deal I know, but should I buy a PS3 that may have problems since it was bought at launch date?

The paragraph below is most unusual. How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so ordinary you'd think nothing was wrong with it - and in fact, nothing is wrong with it. It is unusual though. Why?

"Gatsby was walking back from a visit down in Branton Hill's manufacturing district on a Saturday night. A busy day's traffic had had its noisy run; and with not many folks in sight, His Honour got along without having to stop to grasp a hand, or talk; for a mayor out of City Hall is a shining mark for any politician. And so, coming to Broadway, a booming bass drum and sounds of singing, told of a small Salvation Army unit carrying on amidst Broadway's night shopping crowds. Gatsby , walking towards that group, saw a youg girl, back toward him, just finishing a long, soulful oration. "

The above passage is taken from the book "Gatsby" written by Ernest Vincent Wright in the late 1930's

I just got a call on my cell phone. Not a number I recognized...989 area code. A young-sounding female voice asked me something. It was so fast, I had to ask her to repeat it three times just to figure out what she was saying. I finally caught, "What is Ricky's last name?" I told her that I think she had the wrong number, as I don't know anyone named Ricky. When I went to ask her who she had meant to call, she hung up.

...so now, I ask all of you....What IS Ricky's last name?

I know Sandy, Jr. is still playing backup, Sandy, Sr. is a base coach somewhere in the majors and Roberto retired from the Devil Rays but then what happened to Roberto? I used to be a huge Alomar fan, a lot of people were fans. It seems that when he went to the Mets it was all downhill from there. Any info on Roberto Alomar and what he is doing now?

I've seen it done as practice in the theater department at my University. Two people have a conversation using nothing but questions. If a statement is made, that person is out of the game. Could you have a conversation using nothing but questions?

I'm convinced of the fact that earth is visited by extraterrestrials on a regular basis. I don't believe any of these abduction stories though - those people are just nutters. I reckon the planet is a giant protected nature reserve and is protected from interference by intergalactic law.
