I found this in the trash. I put a formatted hard drive in it.

How do I make it work.

Is it worth keeping?

I should have asked "How do I make it work?" Should the hard drive be formatted in DOS? How do I access it? Change my MAC and IP to match... how do I do that?

Keep it. It could be a good NAS (Network Attached Storage). Search for its manual. The manuals of newer models may also be useful.

this is an old miniature server. as you can see it has an assigned ip address and mac address. it is worth keeping if you know how to use it. i would keep it to make a free website. to use it you just connect it to a a router with an internet connection going through it and make a local network with the device once you have access to it make html or xtml code to make your website. you can also use it to store files in it through the router.

I think its meant for servers - thats the kind of equipment where a website would be stored and accessed by the internet.

Worth keeping?

Could be useful: a piece of storage you can access from anywhere on the planet.

try to establish a network between it and a computer.

Yes, keep it.

You will probably need a crossover patch cable to connect it to your router/PC. They are real cheap on eBay.
