I'm always curious about how other militaries of the world do things, so my usage of the Wikipedia eventually led me to the page about the US Naval Academy.

What's the deal with politicians being able to appoint people for entry into the Naval Academy? I realise you don't need to be chums with anyone important to get it, but it certainly doesn't seem to rule out the possibility of a senator appointing his friend's son over other, more suitable and qualified candidates. Or am I wrong anywhere? Are there any merits to this antiquated system?

ok. I am 17, and i alredy graduated from high school. (I AM NOT A NERD) ok well any ways, I had always dreamed of being a cop. but now that im in college im like NO. then i wanted to be a vet. but its 8 years. SO i was like NO. now i want to be/ learn how to fly. i dont want to make a mistake. i alredy have 30 hours of college credit, but now i need to know what im going to major in before i take any classes. what are some good suggestion of carrers? what should i do. I am exauseted. I dont want to be a failure (everyone thinks i will be)

I have been in a fight with a very good friend of mine for some 8 months now, and she is leaving soon for good. Why not put the bodies out for scavengers?

The town where I live has more land devoted to cemetaries than parks.

I've read numerous articles talking about corpse bacteria showing up in drinking water. Because scavengers will take care of the body a lot faster than decomposition, it seems like that wouldn't be as much of a problem if the body's left out for animals.

So what is the point of devoting so much (the land required for cemetaries, materials required for a casket/urn, and the fuel required for cremation) to decaying matter?

I use to cut myself quit badly when I was 14 and 15. I was silly doing it and looking back I realize it only made evey thing worse.

I know this is a weird thing to ask, but lately I've been chewing the inside of my mouth. Well not really lately but I kind of just noticed and thought something of it.

I seem to do it when I'm sad or nervous.

So is this self harm, similar to cutting?

I'm in San Diego, California now, and i need a bank account for depositing, checking, etc.
