She copies me on EVERYTHING!! I like a show-she likes it- i like a new band-she likes it. I mean-everything. Just recently i dyed my bangs red. And she did tooo. I told her lies about stuff i didn't like-to see if she would start to like them-and she did. I had said about a week ago that i wanted to dye my hair black. I didn't want her to copy that b/c i forgot about the plan i made-(don't tell her anything)-and i suggested that she dye her hair blonde-or her bangs blonde. She asked her mom-and she said no.

So today-she called me and told me that she was dying her hair black! that burnt me uppp.
grr. My mom wont let me-but...it still makes me mad that she copies me on everything i do(or want to do)

I tried talking to her..but she still does it.

Any tips?

I heard a while back, I dont know if its true or not, that division by a negative is "technically" not allowed.

Mathematically, you have to move the negative factor (-1) from the denominator to the numerator before dividing. Its algebraically the same exact thing and produces the same result... one can get away with not even consciously thinking about it. But the rule exists because it matters in higher level mathematics like number theory and whatnot.

Is this true? What do the rules of mathematics actually say about this... about division by negative values?

Likewise, what other odd caveats apply to mathematics that people dont often think about but can easily get away with ignoring?

Ok, I really can't really decide what kind of laptop to buy. I will be starting college soon as an electrical engineering major. I've been doing a lot of research on macs, and there are some definite pluses. The macbooks look really cool, and also can run Windows using bootcamp. So I can have the best of both worlds. I already have a copy of Windows Vista. But according to this website http://www.appledefects.com/wiki/index.php?title=MacBook , I don't know if I want to risk it. I just don't know what to think about the discoloration or the random shutdowns. And my budget limits me to $1300. I've also heard that Macs hardly have or any viruses or trojans to deal with and very user friendly. I've been using a PC for 7 years. But if I choose a mac, I am willing to learn.

Highways surfaces are constucting with a roughly parabolic shape. This makes the centre of the raod higher than the sides so the water will drain off the road onto the shoulders.

In this problem the road is 7.6 m across. A cable is embedded in the road 156 cm from one side and the road is 9.4 cm thick at this point.

Find the equation of the parabola. find the MAXIMUM height of the road.

(the numbers in this problem may be very small, so your answers may be accurate to 7 decimal places)

If someone can please help me out it would be great, I must know all the necessary steps to completing this problem. Please show me all the steps!
