I had two friends in particular that did this to me growing up. One was my best friend during elementary and middle school and the other was a good friend during college, so it doesn't necessarily get better with age. It's just something you have to deal with. I know it gets old and frustrating and you sometimes find yourself caught up in the game. The best thing to do is just realize it's a compliment that she is copying you as she obviously holds you are someone worth imitating. Just try not to get caught up in it too!
Good luck!

I know that must be annoying for her to keep doing this so what Im gonna say is that u should tell her that Ur gonna either stop telling her things Ur gonna do or Ur gonna stop being her friend if she doesn't stop coping off u because it's not only annoying but it's also spooky for her to copy everything u do.
It makes u mad and u don't like being mad at her but it's hard not to be mad when she keeps coping u. Ask her why can't her find her own style? If she doesn't stop after talking with her again then tell her Ur not gonna hangout with her anymore because U have had enough.
Good Luck

I've had friends like this & have seen other friendships that are very similar. It sounds like your friend may be very competitive, maybe somewhat jealous and/or insecure.
Talking this over with your friend didn't help, & it didn't with my friends either. What I eventually ended up doing is telling them that I wanted things that I *no way in the world* wanted (sometimes these things bordered on the absurd) & got secret entertainment out of watching them go after things they thought I wanted. Yeah it sounds mean, but when I tried to bring up the subject both these friends denied they were doing this & 1 even said I was imagining things. Oh, I also stopped discussing things that I *really* wanted with them.
One friend in particular had gone out of her way, several times, to do or buy something that I'd mentioned wanting, especially if she knew I couldn't afford to do it myself. Eventually (for reasons beyond this) I realized she wasn't a friend & moved on. The other friend eventually outgrew it.

i think she's insecure so she is imitating you why not try telling her you like her style like I love you hair etc. it will probably help to boost up her confidence
