No! Absolutely not! Bala Sharks each get about a foot long. The process where fish get as large as the tank is called stunting. The exterior of the fish doesn't grow, but all the internal organs continue to grow. This leads to organ failure and premature death. They probably won't live half of their normal lifespan. And by the way, as school is 5+ fish, 2 fish is only a pair, which is again inappropriate for Balas.

if it's just for a while then it's fine but one the fish get over 5 inches (which is almost as big as when you buy them) they need to be moved to a bigger tank. they ARE schooler and they DO get a foot long, but if the tank is just to hold them untill you get the bigger tank finished, then it's ok, not great, just ok.

I agree with some other people as a no! Sorry to spoil the fun of them, but they can grow to 16"! And remember the 1 inch per gallon rule here. Good luck with finding fishes! :]

no not a very good idea.....1 would be fine....but 2 in a 20 gallon tank...20 gallons is pretty small
