My husband works in the hotel business, and you cannot rent a hotel room if your are under 18 years of age. An adult has to be the one to check in.

In some states, you have to be 21. But in most states, it's 18. Even though the state may require you to be at least 18, the hotel can require a higher age (some hotels are as high as 25).

Sorry. in the U. S., maximum lodges require which you be a minimum of 18 or 21 to e book. And dressing as much as look older will in basic terms get you so a approaches, for the reason that they'll ask for IDs. i will no longer remember the precise call, yet there's a web site the place you could look up families or people who're prepared to enable you sleep on their settee for a evening's stay. optimistically there is not any age decrease for that.

depending on the company that owns and operates the hotel it may be 18 or 21...the only hotel that would rent a room to two 16 year olds is going to be a real crappy place in the middle of no where.

Many hotels will not accept a reservation unless you have a credit card to secure it. If you pay cash, many will not let teens stay without a person of legal age signing for the room because of possible damages. Get your parents to help.

Pretty sure its 18. Most places wont let you book before hand for two main reasons. One, they are afraid that you are going to use it for a party, and they don't want to be held responsible. Two, if any damage is done, in most states, you are not old enough to be held libel.
