The updated version of this controversial documentary -- which takes you behind the walls of the U.S. government as CIA, Pentagon and Foreign Service experts address the government's reasons for launching the "preemptive" war on Iraq in 2003 -- includes almost 30 minutes of brand new footage. Paired with this title is director David O. Russell's controversial antiwar documentary, Soldiers Pay.

This movie should be watched as part of a double feature with F. 9/11. Where Moore's product delivers with flair (at times at the expense of substance), this film offers the subtantive factual support. Overall, this was an excellent product. The commentators used came from an intelligence background, giving weight to their opinions. Further, several commentators were used. The picture painted of Bush's decision to use the congressional authority to go to war is frightening, and sad. A true abuse of power is disclosed.

What this documentary has over every other on this topic is a dispassionate focus on incontrovertible facts: The Bush Administration wittingly lied about WMDs and their motives for invading Iraq and covered lies with more lies. The sober examination of facts by scores of CIA agents, weapons inspectors, governmental officials and others (including several Republicans) should cause bewilderment at the American publics willingness to either look the other way or, worse, believe neocon disinformation despite the truth. There is no reasonable evidence to support any Bush Administration claim or speculation regarding American policy in Iraq since September 2001, except for the fact that Iraq exists. Where Fahrenheit 9/11 is an entertaining overview intended for a wider audience, this is a must for anyone who is curious about what the experts (all disinterested and thoughtful) have to say. For those who call it one-sided: Truth often is one-sided.

I didn't need convincing that Bush and his cronies are liars and Imperialists. What I enjoyed about this movie is that there are more people like me that are willing to speak out, and that doens't make them unpatriotic or that they don't support their troops. It seems the Neo-Conservatives that try to shut down those that disagree are just hiding behind a convenient bumpersticker catch-phrase ("Support Our Troops") that has no merit. Of course we support them. We just question the validity of WHY they are there in the first place. (Which just changes with the seasons!) To me, it IS patriotic to express my freedom of speech, even if it disagrees with yours. Back to the film...Anyone still hanging onto Bush's lies about Iraq will never be convinced otherwise, so this film is not for them. They can live in happy ignorant bliss for all I care. I enjoyed it because it showed that there are many people in all branches of the government that question this administration's policies and are willing to hold them accountable.

A very thorough, well researched and well sourced (to the point of repetitive) documentary about the run up to and the aftermath of the George W. Bush's preemptive invasion of Iraq. I am pretty familiar with most of the lines of the argument...and the truth was clear to me even prior to the invasion. It was hard not to see what was happening while it happened with the blatant (to the point to idiotic) fearmongering being engaged in by the Administration to sell their war. Well, after what happened, by impression about the collective level of the intelligence of the American people dropped a few notches. Like Bush, they were either too stupid to figure out con job, or they were totally in on it themselves. The most infuriating aspect of all of this is how the dire consequences of this ill-fated adventure will affect the US down the line, while Bush and entire Administration (including paeons like Scooter Libby) will walk away totally scot free.

A stunning cast of characters' opinions regarding the road to Iraq. Spun??? Slanted??? Biased??? I don't know. However, I sure would like to see someone put together the other side of the debate as well as it has been done here.

We all kno MV is indicted for dog-fighting ventures. Personally i think Vick is innocent, but even though he may or may not be convicted, i highly doubt Roger Goodell gon let something big like this to slide. If he really is guilty, they would likely kick him out the league wit a larger fine then 350 g and prison time, or at least the whole season or half. Some of the other topics ive read bout MIke, most of those anwsers were downright cruel. I mean (IF he did kill dogs) he should get banned from the NFL and his contract termainated and jail, but he shouldnt DIE for that. His career is in jeporady, but anyone can go from sub-par to excellent in a year. I bet evry falcon fan(and evrybody else for that matter) would be shocked silly if Vick actually had excellent passing stats like 3000-3500 yds, 30+ TD passes, 60+ completion %,UNDER 10 INTand fumbles and he lead his team to the SB! That would be a falcon fan dream come true! And its possible too, yall never kno! Wat do yall think?

A strong case can be made that the men and women who grew up during the Depression, fought or helped with the war effort during World War II, and built post-war America are The Greatest Generation in American History.

They weren't whiners, they weren't malcontents - they all just pitched in and got the job done. The military certainly didn't take it's orders from the ACLU. They built domestic detention camps, fire-bombed Dresden, obliterated Berlin, nuked Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The war cost the USA 500,000 of her bravest sons. Not one spouse or parent betrayed their country and demanded a 'meeting' with the President.

What would these great patriots have done with the likes of 'leaders' such as Harrd Reid (told the military, "You're risking your lives for nothing"), John Murtha (called the Haditha Marines “cold-blooded” murderers and condemned them as guilty without a trial), Dick Durbin (compared the US military to Nazis), Dennis Kucinich (in bed with CAIR terrorists) and their ilk?

I keep seeing questions that basically ask for a hand-out, and I'm thinking to myself, "This is just TOO GOOD!" So I figured I'd get in on the act and beg for money also. If ya can't beat 'em, join 'em!

I'm not especially poor (I make $11,000 a year, my budget works, I'm saving for retirement and I have a little house to call my own), but I'm not rich either. Hmm, not pathetic enough.

Sometimes, when I eat a meal, I want dessert, but I can't afford it!

I haven't had any alcohol since January! I can't even afford to drink! How I crave my precious Long Island Iced Tea! Lol. I have no idea how these people sound congruent. I'm not a good sob story-writer.

But just in case anyone out there has some money to burn, please send me as much as you like to geeloeeloee@yahoo.com through Paypal. I'd much appreciate it.

Why don't we all go start a web site called BeggarsRing.com?

You know the people that lay out the different ancient and modern skulls from DIFFERENT human species. Maybe you've heard of a few like Lucy, Peeking man, Homo habulis, Homo erectus, Goliath,Neanderthal, Cromagnum, US and recently the Hobbit. Have you seen and heard the skulls contrasted to gorillas and chimps? Can you feel the overwhelming evolutionary fact's flowing through your body and brain, its amazing isn't it? In Rebel Without a Cause, The Breakfast Club, Donnie Darko and Dazed and Confused do these representations and values below accurately reflect our society?
Please help!!
The representations of average white, American, high school students as rebellious, careless, rude, self absorbed, disrespectful and roguish etc.
The value of hedonism, especially in Dazed and Confused.
Does that representation and that value accurately reflect our society? Why? How?
I need to do this on two of these films, one being Rebel Without a Cause and the other any.
