We all kno MV is indicted for dog-fighting ventures. Personally i think Vick is innocent, but even though he may or may not be convicted, i highly doubt Roger Goodell gon let something big like this to slide. If he really is guilty, they would likely kick him out the league wit a larger fine then 350 g and prison time, or at least the whole season or half. Some of the other topics ive read bout MIke, most of those anwsers were downright cruel. I mean (IF he did kill dogs) he should get banned from the NFL and his contract termainated and jail, but he shouldnt DIE for that. His career is in jeporady, but anyone can go from sub-par to excellent in a year. I bet evry falcon fan(and evrybody else for that matter) would be shocked silly if Vick actually had excellent passing stats like 3000-3500 yds, 30+ TD passes, 60+ completion %,UNDER 10 INTand fumbles and he lead his team to the SB! That would be a falcon fan dream come true! And its possible too, yall never kno! Wat do yall think?

Michael Vick is slime, and I have no doubt that he is guilty of these terrible crimes. I hope they lock him up and throw away the key.....oh, and hope he loses all his money, too.

I wanna comment on Vicks play on the field, not that he knew about or took part in killing animals. And he did. You think all those dogs and fighting pits showed up on HIS peoperty and him not know about it? But anyway, you got some big hopes there for him as a QB. Personally I think Vick is the most overrated player in the history of the NFL. Ill even say whoever the GM of the Chargers was when they traded the 1st pick to ATL to let them get Vick and they landed LT and Drew Brees in the same draft, is the best GM of all time. I know Brees is no longer with the Chargers, but who do you think got the best of that deal? The team that got what will be one of the very best players to play in the league and a very very solid QB, or the team who got a guy that can run and throw the ball 4 miles, but can barely throw it and hit the stands if he tried? 3500 yds and 30 tds? Thats Tom Brady and Brett Favre type numbers, not Vick. Heres my prediction for Vick this year, if he plays the whole year that is:2650 passing yds, 16 passing tds, 15 ints, about 52% comp, 800 rush yds and 4 rush tds. And Super Bowl?? Theyll do good to finish 3rd in their divison.

His adversity was caused by his stupidity. Face it he might not have done it all himself but he sure knew about it. It was his property so he is somewhat responsible for what goes on there. Considering his and his brothers past history it doesn't look good for his excuse of I'm just a nice guy or whatever he will claim. Sadly because of being rich he will be able to buy his way out of these problems. Then in a few years he will do something else stupid and we will be back to the same discussions.

Vick should be learning how to be an adult from Harrington. Neither is a great QB but at least Joey is an all around nice responsible guy.

Presumption of innocence is a legal right that the accused in criminal trials has in many modern nations. It states that no person shall be considered guilty until finally convicted by a court. The burden of proof is thus on the prosecution, which has to convince the court that the accused is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. In principle, the defense does not have to 'prove' anything. However, the defense may present evidence tending to show that there is a doubt as to the guilt of the accused.

Conversely, in many authoritarian regimes the prosecution case is, in practice, believed by default unless the accused can prove he is innocent, a practice called presumption of guilt. Many people believe that presumption of guilt is unfair and even immoral because it allows the strategic targeting of any individual, since it's often difficult to firmly establish proof of innocence (for example, it's often impossible to establish an alibi if the person is home alone at the time of the crime).

In many countries belonging to the Anglo-Saxon legal tradition, the Principle of Presumption of Innocence is phrased such that "the accused is presumed to be innocent until it has been declared guilty by a court". This abbreviated form neglects the point that a person may continue to appeal a decision, and will be presumed innocent until a final decision is made. Therefore people who have been found guilty in lower courts of law, but have pending appeals, cannot have their citizen's rights (such as to vote and to be elected) stripped nor can they be permanently removed from their offices, but merely suspended.

for those that do not believe in this can go to a middle east country and live under their authoritarian regimes

If I were a betting man, I wouldn't bet that Micheal Vick overcomes any of the adversity. This isn't some slappy DA in Virginia going after Vick. This is the US government going after him. Check out the scoreboard on these guys. They have a 95% conviction rate. They go after mobsters, gangsters, drug kingpins, terrorists, and crooked politicians on a daily basis. They probably are looking at Mike Vick and his crew as easy pickings.

His stats and NFL isn't going to help him on this one.

A hero, are you fuking serious? How is he a hero? How are people who committed the cruelty against animals the way he did a hero? Besides lots of Athletes overcome adversities. That in no way makes them heroes Heros are Firefighters who rush into burning buildings to save people. Rescue workers who plunge into icy water to save a child trapped underneath. A single mother or father who works 2 jobs to make ends meet Not these athletes who make millions and have everything catered to them and still don't appreciate when they have it so good that it has to be taken away from them so they can learn a lesson. No definitely not a hero

I thik Micheal Vick sucks as a Qb as a athlete he is amazing but a running QB will never win the big one. Dog fighting is cruel but face it is something in the world exsist I think he is stupid if he did participate and if he iddnt he had to know what was going on his property. Vick is a disgrace to aferican americans and the NFL

If found guilty the fact that he will be a first time offender means he wont get more than a year. I have seen murderers get 4 years and please dont tell me killing dogs is the same as killing a human being. Considering this case is now ell known whatever sentence he gets if guilty will be used as a yard stick in future cases. So watch out you future offenders

well that would be nice, but come on, we're talking about michael vick. he will never have a season like that, not in the nfl, cfl, maybe in the arena league. he is not a pure passer, he is an athlete, a phenominal one at that. but that doesn't equal to great passing numbers.

The cause of the adversity is what makes overcoming a good or bad story. Lets see if he is found guilty, and if he is, I would rather see contrition than a super bowl ring.
