i am a simple student and i want to build my first ever pc system for personal use like video editing (HEAVY) word typing, internet, email, uploads digital cam videos, store loads and loads of pictures from photo album (really HUGE).

i have come up with the following spec:

what are your views on this spec?

will the motherboard, processor, RAM and graphics card work well together?

shall i use win xp home or win xp pro? why?

i will be using Arctic Cooling Frezer 64 Pro?

I'm upgrading my MB and CPU and didn't realize until after I purchased them (for quite a penny), that I didn't remember reading anything about them being compatible with Windows XP Home Edition SP2. I upgraded from P4 3.0 ghz to a Core 2 Quad 2.40 ghz and from a Intel 945G Media Series to a XFX Nvidia 680i SLI. I'm really weary of buying Windows Vista yet due to the immense number driver issues cropping up, and would perfer to wait until after the first Service Pack is realeased. So can anyone please answer me...Is Windows XP Home SP2 compatible with Quad-Core CPUs? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere!
Any help is appreciated and if possible please leave a link to the information you found so I can read it over also.

I am what most people would consider a geek. I play strategic board and card games and am looking for a girl with similar interests in games, music and who likes to have intelegent discussions, is outgoing, and is looking for a relationship, not sex. The UN fostered global warming scheme seems to be "heating" up again. For me I see it as a legitimized panhandling scheme for the "beligerent beggers" of the UN elitist global politicians. Their quest for GW taxation(money), treaties(power) is just another way for them to make a grand living at being unproductive. Next thing they'll try getting into your bedroom, then try to tax you for watching the show. Anybody else seeing what I'm seeing???

I had my 3rd date with a guy I've loved for a real long time and I'm really glad we're dating again. We went to a nice place for us to watch the stars and relax on the grass. We both happened to be looking in the same area way up in the sky at the same time. We both saw the same Shooting Star pass on by. But the thing is, I would say maybe a month before we started going out again I saw a Shooting Star on my own and made a wish that my crush would date me again. Turns out I'm with him and we saw it together the other night. So I've seen it twice, first time made a wish, second time I was sitting with him at night on the grass. I know it sounds silly, but could this be a sign or just a mere coincidence? Thanks so much :) P.S. we are very much in love.
