This calls for ground turkey but you could substitute beef!

CROCK POT CHILI
2 (16) oz cans kidney beans, drained
2 (14) oz cans tomatoes, cut up
2 lbs ground beef, browned and drained
1 large onion
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
2 tablespoons minced garlic
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cumin
6 oz jar sliced jalapenos (with juice)
2 teaspoons Tabasco
8 oz mushrooms
1 12 oz can of sliced olives
2 hand fulls raw pinto beans
Soak pinto beans overnight in water to cover. In the morning, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 90 minutes.
Add all ingredients into a Crock-Pot and set on high for the first hour; then reduce heat to low and continue to cook for 5 hours.
If you prefer a more soupy chili, a half can of tomato sauce can be added half way through the cooking, if desired.
This chili has taken 1st place in all entries I have taken it to. No big ones just bar chili cook-offs - nothing big.
Hope you enjoy!

This is my favorite simple, uncomplicated chili recipe!
Simple Beef Chili with Kidney Beans
Good choices for condiments include diced fresh tomatoes, diced avocado, sliced scallions, chopped red onion, chopped cilantro leaves, sour cream, and shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese. If you are a fan of spicy food, consider using a little more of the red pepper flakes or cayenne--or both. The flavor of the chili improves with age; if possible, make it a day or up to five days in advance and reheat before serving. Leftovers can be frozen for up to a month.
Makes about 3 quarts, serving 8 to 10
2 tablespoons vegetable oil or corn oil
2 medium onions , chopped fine (about 2 cups)
1 red bell pepper , cut into 1/2-inch cubes
6 medium cloves garlic , minced or pressed through garlic press (about 2 tablespoons)
1/4 cup chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground coriander
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 pounds 85 percent lean ground beef
2 (15-ounce) cans red kidney beans , drained and rinsed
1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes , with juice
1 can (28 ounces) tomato puree
Table salt
2 limes , cut into wedges
1. Heat oil in large heavy-bottomed nonreactive Dutch oven over medium heat until shimmering but not smoking, 3 to 4 minutes. Add onions, bell pepper, garlic, chili powder, cumin, coriander, pepper flakes, oregano, and cayenne; cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are softened and beginning to brown, about 10 minutes. Increase heat to medium-high and add half the beef; cook, breaking up pieces with wooden spoon, until no longer pink and just beginning to brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Add remaining beef and cook, breaking up pieces with wooden spoon, until no longer pink, 3 to 4 minutes.
2. Transfer the cooked beef mixture to a slow cooker; add the beans, tomatoes, tomato puree, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cook the chili on the high setting for four hours. Beef should be tender and the chili dark, rich, and slightly thickened. Adjust seasoning with additional salt. Serve with lime wedges and condiments if desired.

Easy peasy!!
Brown mince, sling it in! Fry onions to soften them - sling em in. Mix chilli powder and tomato puree (or tinned tomatoes) in a jug so that you have just enough liquid to barely cover it and sling it in. Chuck in peppers, chillis, etc - whatever you like in it!
Cook for about 6 hours! Add tinned beans at about the five hour mark - not too early cos they will disintegrate.
