The UN fostered global warming scheme seems to be "heating" up again. For me I see it as a legitimized panhandling scheme for the "beligerent beggers" of the UN elitist global politicians. Their quest for GW taxation(money), treaties(power) is just another way for them to make a grand living at being unproductive. Next thing they'll try getting into your bedroom, then try to tax you for watching the show. Anybody else seeing what I'm seeing???

I am surprised you didnt touch off a fire storm with this question. I am sure there are a lot of people that believe the Al Gore story and would have expected them to chime in here. Maybe I was wrong - maybe people are really beginning to see the light.

Look, for every story or scientific study doen that says global warming is a problem, you can find another study saying just the opposite - so - which one of them is true?

Regardless of which is true - the fact remains that a tax to "fight" it is a bad idea - all taxes are nothing more then armed robbery. Opps, did I make that public knowledge? Sorry, I forgot that a lot of people here believe their government and trust their government to the point thta they want to give all their money to it - they enjoy being slaves.

For all you who love being a slave I have a better idea - give me your money instead of giving it to the governemnt - I will create private institutions that will deal with these problems much more efficiently then anything your government can do.

Privae industry has ALWAYS proven to be better then government because its driven by the market - not by the point of a gun. Forget the taxes - they are just armed robbery - when are you people going to realize this fact?

Did you ever stop to think that global warming may be real?
Yes! They want money, as do other intrest groups. It takes money for research-folks don't do things for free you know.
It's true, that a few will line their pockets, but not all will do that.
Stop and take a good look at what is going on around you and at yourself. Do you do everything for free? Do others? See what I mean, we all have our hand out for one reason or another. Some just do it on a bigger scale.
But have no doubt-Global warming is real and as each day passes we see the effects of it. It is a natural event that has been greatly expanded due to what we, as humans, have added to it. CO2.
Can we change what will occur? No!
Can we survive it? Some will-maybe.
Will all that tax money really help us out? Yes! At least in understanding what we face and how long it will last. It's too late to stop global warming now or even slow it down.

Absolutely.

With their "modest" plan, they are wanting the world to ramp back industrial and transportation emissions, or face at least a trillion dollars in taxes every year. This is extortion. Even a James Bond-esque villain does not hold the world ransom for such an astronomical sum. And what do they plan to do with that money? Hmmm.

You also have to love their carbon "offset" plan - paying money so that you can continue polluting. It's like PETA or Greenpeace letting you pay money to club baby seals with their blessings.

The global warming you talk about is definitely a fiasco. There are enough people out there that actually BELIEVE it because if they didn't they wouldn't spew their BS everywhere, trying to make you feel bad about flicking your cigarette butt out the window. In fact, TX now has a local and state law forbidding such activities. If they catch you, they can fine you as much as $1,000 for such an action.
Now it is true, I am not a smoker nor do I care what others do, as long as it doesn't affect my life. I DON'T feel sorry or guilty for the way I live ... I do wish others felt SOMETHING for the way they live!

Yep.

Always follow the money for the answer. Every time, "just by coincidence" you will see someone with money and power to gain.
