I am what most people would consider a geek. I play strategic board and card games and am looking for a girl with similar interests in games, music and who likes to have intelegent discussions, is outgoing, and is looking for a relationship, not sex. Am I eventually going to find the right person who fits my expectations, or am I expecting too much? Also what would you do about being jealous of friends' girlfriends?

you sound like a sweet guy, its really hard to find people with similar interests, is there a social place you can go for those type of interests? any discussion groups you can go to? or workshops, have a look online at social meet up groups to see if they have any events that interest you. dont lower your expectations but dont expect them to be a huge amount of options cos the right person is rare but dont settle for second best, cos afterall you deserve the best!
regarding the mates girlfriend - why are you jealous?? he's your friend be happy for him, i know you want to have what he has but if the girl is with your mate that isnt what fate has in store for you. just be happy for him and have a laugh until you find someone right for you. be patient and good luck xxx

You're not expecting too much in the least. My boyfriend and I basically fell for each other through deep, intense conversation (life, art, music, philosophy, cracking jokes about Bush, etc). Having a desire for an intelligent woman, for someone who has the same interests and will not write off your desires/ what you like to do is not expecting too much. It is knowing what you want, and defining what you want and who you are is a sign of emotional security and maturity.
About the jealousy, pinpoint what about them you are jealous of. Is it the companionship? The way they look? Who they are as people specifically? Do you see your friends in love and want the same for yourself? It's completely alright to be jealous if you are not going to act on your feelings.

Although it is quite difficult to find sb with exactly the same interests it isn't impossible and it isn't necessary too. youcan fall in love with sb and have fun without having the same interests. In your case it is easy because your interests are quite common. For instance i like board and card games too and most of my friends do the same. The majority of people including me enjoy having intelegent discussions. Don't be discouraged and keep trying to find this ideal girl. and about the jealousness try to control it and may be tell it your friend! Good luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course you can find girls with similar interests you just have to join clubs that have gatherings for those types of things. Also spend some time in stores that cater to that type of games. I can't help you with the jealousy thing because everyone is jealous of me because of my gf being really beautiful and me being disgusting ugly.

finding a girl in your intrestrests may have advantage as well as disadvantage... advantage is she will be always with you.. she may share everything with you friendly...
disadvantage is you are not going to share everything all time along the life.. even you share you will get bored and may search another girl in half of life.. so better look a girl have a bit intrests similar to your taste.. so that you will never get bored..
