Salman Rushdie wrote a book called the ''Satanic Versuses" which many Muslims feel, portrays Islam in a negative light. Recently, Rushdie was knighted by the queen, this has really pissed off Islamic follwers, they are protesting and have again put called for his death and bounty has been placed on Rushdie's head.

Why do the alleged follwers of peace want to kill anybody with a different opinion?

We have a 9 week old GSD who loves to play in the park and is very active, but hates to walk. he doesn't mind the leash, but when we try to take him for a walk, even to go to the park (which is just around the corner), he will just lie down and you have to coax him to walk a few feet, and then he sits down again.

at the end of the one Futurama episode where Fry decides not to revive his dog from the past because he thought that the dog lived a happy life after he left, but in reality the dog sat and waited (and eventually died) waiting for him to return? That episode gets me everytime.

I remember as a kid, maybe 20 years ago, there was a meteor shower. I got up on the roof of my home and laid down to watch it. I remember seeing a big gourp of rocks fly by. It was crazy. They were big enough to be seen, but to far away from the atmosphere to burn up. I haven't had too many chances since then to watch the showers. But, whenever I do, I only see the meteors that are flashes of light passing throught the atmosphere. Was that rare that I could actually see the meteors? Or, is it now that the city lights are just blocking my view?
