Why do you want to convert to Judaism? Judaism is not like Christianity, in Judaism every person is seen as being able to merit a place in the world to come. For Jews, it is via the 613 commandments contained in the Torah (written and oral), for non-Jews it is only the 7 Noahide commandments.

If you do want to convert- you are going to need to speak to your local Orthodox Rabbi who will tell you to contact the local beis Din (rabbinical court) who will try to dissuade you. If you stick out their dissuasion, you will have between a year to three years worht of classes before hacing to be circumcised and then immersed in a ritual bath (mikveh).

As for hell- if you are converting to Judaism then forget that belief. Judaism has no hell, no eternal damnation, no devil out there enticing you to sin and running in opposition to God. yep, Judaism makes things difficult by giving you no one to blame but yourself- you must take responsibility for your actions and account for them in Olam Haba (the world to come- very different to the Christian concept to heaven, the Christian concept of heaven is as non-existent in Judaism as is hell)

if you think that converting to Judaism will send you to hell, why do you want to convert in the first place? Sounds like you still hold to a Christian doctrine of salvation. Just believe what you believe...you don't need to put a label on it.

lol-how can you convert to Judaism if you still believe in the Christian beliefs?? Judaism believes in a hell that everyone goes to no matter one to clense themselves of the "stink" from the impurity of this earth. Eventually, you will either be reincarnated into another body in order to fulfill your mission on this earth (if you haven't already in your other lifetime), or go to heaven until the coming of the messiah.

christian beliefs are totally different to Judaism. So that means, hell is different too. Judaism has a whole different approach to *hell*. In Judaism, no one spends an eternity in 'hell'.

Don't give up on Jesus! Have you ever heard of messianic Jews? They are Jewish people who become "born again" but they still hold on to Jewish traditions. Maybe you can convert to Judaism without losing your relationship with Jesus. Without Jesus there is no salvation, no forgiveness of sins, no dwelling place in heaven after you die. Why would you want to convert anyway? You're saved.

The Holy Spirit is telling you to not convert. This is why your are afraid. You can still choose to convert at your own risk. I wouldn't expect God to approve.

ok, i don't really believe in a god, but if you believe in god and wish to convert to another religion which you feel is more suitable to your beliefs, then i think it's fine, if there is a god, i don't think god would judge you based on the name you choose to give yourself, i think god would judge you based on your actions and your good character, would a god really be as unforgiving and so characteristic of humans as people make 'it' out to be? i don't really believe in the whole supreme being judging each individual, but i hope you aren't afraid to believe what you wish to because of the fear of hell
