Question:

Can someone please tell me how each of the following changes would affect the amount of the specified substance recovered?


1. the recovery of CaCO3 was attempted by adding 3M H2SO4 instead of 3M HCl to the SiO2 / CaCO3 residue

2. the recovery of CaCO3 was attempted by adding 1M KNO3 solution instead of 1M K2CO3 solution to the filtrate, containing aqueous CaCl2


I also have to write a double displacement reaction that occurs between each of the reagents.

So I was watching the History Channel earlier today and they were talking about prophecies from different cultures predicting the end of the world. Supposedly the world is going to end according to the Mayan calendar in the year 2012 Things such as the Iraq War and Global Warming are signs of the end times. I think that world might end in December 21st 2012 but in the Bible it says that no one knows the hour or day or anything about when the world will end. Also I wonder who the Antichrist will be? Could it possibly be the next president of the U.S or someone else?I was just wondering if anyone else believes this or not I just want to know peoples thoughts on this.
