Sometimes "fingerstyle" is called "arpeggio", where the right hand doesn't just strurm, but picks out individual patterns to play.

The term for using all your righthand fingers on guitar is called fingerstyle.

This style may be difficult for those using plectrums or straight picks. There are many guitarists that play fingerstyle and do not use any picks, but rely solely upon their manicured fingernails. I use a thumbpick for volume, having learned fingerstyle methods from Chet Atkins and Merle Travis.
