the anti-christ will come from Europe as a very powerful and handsome political leader. he will have a master plan for world peace and half way through the 7 yr tribulation he breaks his promise. he will invade israel from the north and proclaim to be christ himself as the new leader of israel. those that are left on earth will all receive a marking of the beast either on the middle of the forehead or right hand. it will be a device that allows him to control all business transactions from everyone. the world will be at his mercy. hope i'm not around to see this.

Even though you didn't say "Please answer this", I will give you my 2 cents worth.
The Only question you asked was "could the next President of the United States be the Antichrist, or someone else?"
To Answer your question I would say...
1. No. the next president can not be the Antichrist and here is why...
A: If you study the Bible you will find that the Antichrist will not take over the world with force. It will be by trust and the majority of the World will love this person and what is being done by him (for the world).
B: This totally lets out any leader of the United States as we are probably the most hated in the World, (by the majority of the world) even many "friends" are such because of "fear" (on the most part).
2. The Antichrist must come from a power in the world that is both political and religious (again this lets out the U.S. since the government is less and less religious).
3. There is only one Government leader who is also a Religious leader in the World who all ready is looked upto by the majority of the world. If not for His Religion then for being the leader of a State.
4. This position has all ready killed millions of people in the past for "religious sake".
5. Stood back while Millions of Jews were killed during world war 2, yet is still adored by the world as a whole.
6. This power States seperation of Church and State yet is leader not only of a world wide church but also a country...and uses that power to keep poor countries poor and over populated. Yet in a mind set of "God on Earth".
7. The members of this Church pledge alligience to this man which in turn means no matter where they live in the world they have also pledged alligience to the "Country" he rules.
8. I wonder if it came down to it who would they serve? There home country or the country of their religious leader?

2012 is not a magic number as some have suggested. The threat of polar shifts exists and it exists due to the fact that the sun and earth will be directly aligned with the black hole recently discovered in our galaxy that Mayans knew existed milenia ago. When this occurs, magnetic shift could take place and the possibility is a very real one. Shifts have occurred previously in time.
I'm still not sure why humans are convinced they are above universal effects and catastrophies and they possess all the knowledge of the universe. It's a rather pompous attitude don't you think?
Maybe some of you have heard of The Web Bot Project, but for those of you who have not, it's quite intriguing.
The Web Bot Project, developed in the late 1990's, was created to assist in making stock market predictions.
The technology uses a system of spiders to crawl the Internet and search for keywords, much like a search engine does. When a keyword is located, the bot program takes a snapshot of the text preceding and following the keyword. This snapshot of text is sent to a central location where it is then filtered to define meaning.
But in 2001, bot operators began to notice that stock market predictions were not the only matters being accurately predicted by the program. They began to take notice of coincidence with occurrences and explored it further.
One of the first accurate predictions from the bot program took place in June of 2001. The program predicted that a life altering event would take place within the next 60-90 days. An occurrence of such proportion that it's effects would be felt worldwide. The program based it's prediction on "web chatter" which ultimately represents the collective unconscious of society.
Regrettably, the bot program's prediction proved accurate and the Twin Towers fell on 9/11/2001.
Here's where it starts to become very interesting. The bot program also predicts a worldwide calamity taking place in the year 2012. . . . .

Most experts believe the Anti-Christ will be a Asyrian.
People have been predicting the End of the World since ancient times and it's never come.
It will eventually come. Science even says so.
Astronomy tells us it will be swift. There will be a gradual dimminig of the sun over a period of months or years followed by a sudden burst.
That burst will end the Earth and astronomy wise that burst comes in a matter of days or hours.
When it happens the Earth will become as Venus or Mercury.
There will probably be tell tale signs that occur hundreds of years before the actual event.
Those tell tale signs could even end life on Earth before the Sun swells.
Man, too, can bring about the destruction of the Earth
The Earth will exceed populations liminits in about two centuries, maybe three.
That means another 300 years maximum and by then the Oil will be gone.
As for Global Warming, the era of Dr. Strangelove is at hand. The government can easily put people inside of NORAD, grow food in there reprocess oxygen and waters.
People may not go extinict under these kinds of mellow conditions (as opposed to the Sun going NOVA which NO ONE on Earth will survive, even underground).
When the End of Times is at hand you will see it.
The skies EVERYWHERE will be dark. Food will be scarce. There will be famine and pestilance. There will be wars. People will take sides. There will eventually be rivers and lakes of fire (lava, burning ashes from A-bombs, Napalm, who knows for sure).

The Book of Revelation contains it all. But if you don't read it with some very good footnotes or study it with someone who really knows what it's about, it will just seem like a big nightmare.
People have always thought the end of the world would come in their lifetime. But it's true the Bible teaches that we are to "watch and pray" because we don't know the hour or the day.
As far as the anti-Christ, it is someone who will be (from everything I've ever learned on the subject) a person who is very powerful, attractive, compelling, charismatic, and much-beloved by a majority of people. I think even believers will be swept up by his charisma, at least at first. (So that's how we can all know that, no, it isn't our current Prez!) It will be interesting, at the very least.
I think the "Left Behind" series was very poorly written, from a literary standpoint, but had a good Biblical foundation about the end of the world (if you can hold your nose through them!)

Ugggh! One more time - The Mayan calendar is predicting that we're transitioning into another epoch! Not the end of the world! We are, according to the Mayans, CURRENTLY in that transition - from 1987 to 2012/2013.

I watched the same show. No, I don't really think the world will end on that date....even though others besides the Mayans have predicted this. I'm sure with the shift, we will seem some differences here....but I don't think life as we know it will end.
I don't believe in an antichrist...so I can't help you there.

There are quite a few issues to bear in mind approximately 2012. First we could desire to bear in mind that we are made in Gods photograph. God is power, each and everything God made is power. power does not die, it ameliorations. So the respond on your question will the international lead to December of 2012 or the different time isn't any. Will the planet replace, specific. Will it replace in 2012. God has no longer reported one way or the different. one situation that a lot of human beings over look it the year itself. human beings say December 2012. yet what we could desire to bear in mind is that the we are speaking proper to the Mayan calender no longer the Georgian calender. The Mayan calender is hugely distinctive. It has basically 360 days yet 18 months of around 20 days. What we call our new year falls around July for them. So in accordance to the Mayan calender 2012 has already started. issues will replace, no longer end.

2012 is just the next magic number. If 2012 passes, and nothing happens, the Doomsday people and/or the Global Change folk will just choose some other date and claim it has some kind of significance.
(We're due for a close encounter with an asteroid in a few decades. How much you want to bet they point ahead to that particular year next?)

Yes, you are right, the bible tells us Jesus will come like thief in the night, we won't know the hour or day, so be prepared.
The bible teaches up to watch for the signs of the end days. No one will know the exact day not even Jesus knows when that horrible day, judgment day will be, only the father.
We must live and be prepared every second of the day. Jesus could come at any minute! Are you ready?
