Ok i live in MN and we refinanced our home about 2 years ago, we were approached by a company with this deal telling us that we have 50k in equity in our townhome, we decided to refinance to pay off medical bills, and our car loan. into a 1 mortgage. Well my company gave me a offer to move to denver next year so we are looking at selling or home talked to a realitor and now find that we are 40k. We told him about our refinance and what they found the appraisal is at, he researched that and found that to be false, looking more into this mess they charged a bunch of bogus fees that made that closing fees around 12k. Any one have head of this .

My OB/GYN sent me a bill after our son was delivered for "out-of-network" charges. All along we thought he was in our network and he never told me otherwise. We later found out he dropped our network a month before delivery. I'm being hounded by a collections agency, but I don't think I should pay. State laws don't help since our health plan is "ERISA," or a national health plan. To make matters worse, my doctor has quit the business and is no longer a practicing physician. Can I still sue him in the small claims court to stop him from charging me?

In my opinion Americans don't "own" their homes...they own a "MORTGAGE".
They take a 30 year mortage and continually borrow against it in order to survive and when they are 70 and working at Walmart, eating dog food and still paying on that mortgage they scratch their heads and wonder: "what has become of the American dream".

Even if the house is totally paid for and there is no mortgage....
consider "home owners" as the 'renters' and the Federal Government as the 'Landlord'.
As long as you pay your property taxes (rent) you can stay in the house. Fail to pay those taxes (rent)and the landlord/Govt will toss you out and into the street and sell the property.
Can you choose to whom you want to sell the house to?
No.
If you try to pick and choose you risk being threatened with a "discrimination" lawsuit thanks to a bit of government legislation passed in the 1960's.
How many of you are gonna be duped by the American Lib and Con propaganda machine??

I was venting to my ex - who is still a really good friend- about financial troubles. I just needed to get it off my back. Well, he picked up and sent me a check for 200$, after I'd already told him not to. He's in iraq for the next few years, so he said that I need it more then he does.
