The only two things whose oxidation states are changing are Cd and N. Since Cd is going from an oxitaion state of 0 to +2, each Cd atom loses 2 electrons. Since the balanced equation has 3 Cd, there is a total of 6 electrons being transferred.

You could also look at the oxidation state change of N and come to the same conclusion.
