I am 22 years old in a long-term, sexually active relationship. I am on the birth control pill and have been for the past year, but we do not use any other forms of contraception. About three weeks ago I experienced some mild breast tenderness, which I simply chalked up to PMS. My period started as usual a week later, however it was much lighter and shorter than usual, even for a birth control period. I resumed taking my pill that Sunday, but roughly one week later I began bleeding again, despite having been regularly taking my pill. Only this time it was very heavy, very dark, clotted and accompanied by heavy cramping. It has slowly been tapering off for the past two days, but I have never had such heavy bleeding in my life. Could I have been one of the 1% of birth control users who got pregnant, and am now experiencing a miscariage? Thank you for all answers.

I have no idea what I want to do with my degree but I'm feeling and really depressed. I'm very lonely and my grades have been slipping (A- first year, B+ last year, B to B+ this years depending on how my exams go). I feel as if there is no forward momentum in my life. I'm $7000 in debt with student loans. Exams are almost over and I'm considering my future. I have to start applying for grad schools next year and I don't feel prepared. Would taking a year off to work or travel be beneficial or should I fight it out?

Yeah, they're making a movie called 'Freddy VS Jason VS The Survivor's Club' about all the victims of movie slashers who actually 'survived' at the end of the movies. They formed a club but alas are now being picked off one by one. Only ONE survivor of the survivors will remain. Who will it be? I'm guessing the chic from Friday the 13th Part 2 that drove the VW! Then why are the most vicious things also the most physically rewarding. Examples: Having sex with every person, stealing, doing drugs....If you are going to say that God does so to test us, it's not a fair test then. It's like purposely throwing candy in front of a child's face and then slapping them when they grab it. It makes no sense to do that...

i remember many of my dreams, and most of them are very enjoyable even if something relatively uneventful happens, i enjoy thinking about my dreams.

so if i can remember everything about the experiences i had in a dream, would that in turn actually make them reality?

My cousin's friend went through 4 years of college and got a degree in mass communication but ended up jobless. He says that its practically impossible to get a job in mass communications and went back to college to study something else.

I'm thinking of studying print journalism when I get older but is it really that hard to find a job?

I have 10 African Cichlids and 2 Plecos in a 39 Gallon tank, each cichlid an average of 2" in size. I've had these fish for about a year now. So the local petsmart was remodeling their store and said that I could have all their old fish decorations for free. I got a bunch of rocks and plants. I'm thinking this is awesome. So I took all the plants (about 5) and soaked them in hot water for about 15 minutes then planted them in the tank. Afterwards, it seemed the fish were excited and exploring. This was yesterday afternoon. Today is about 11:00pm and I'm noticing that they are sluggish, hiding and not eating anything, very unusual for them since they are very active and aggressive fish. I'm worried it may have something to do with the new plants. Can anyone offer any wisdom on why this is happening?
