About 20 percent of the Maryland National Guardsmen are being called up for service in Iraq. They will be part of the Bush-Cheney’s Gang’s insane “Surge” strategy in that over-four-year old, no-win, no-end conflict. We’re talking about 1,300 Army and Air National Guard from the state, whose lives will be put at risk in a war based on serial lies and which can not be won militarily.

How can this make any sense at all?

Someone asked if Rush Limbaugh was a total idiot, and to prove it they posted a piece by FAIR that was written back in 1994. Now in all fairness (We all know how liberals love to pretend that they believe in fairness) Rush should be allowed to respond.

I recently talked to an Air Force recruiter (the only one in a pretty significant region).
He was 27, but had the mentality of a 15-year-old.
Superficial. Immature. Pitiful.
...aside the point.
So this guy tells me that the USAF is not enlisting people with prior service in other military branches.
He also says that if someone enlists in the Air National Guard or the Air Force Reserve, it counts as prior service and you are thus uneligible from switching later on to active Air Force.

I've talked to all sorts of straight-shooting recruiters from different uniformed services. But this guy was pretty shifty all around.

How much of this is true and what's not?

I remember maybe two years ago walking by the Plasma tvs and seeing out of this world prices, 5,000 and up. I went to circuit city today and I couldnt believe my eyes, WOW! 50 Inch Plasma tvs for 2,000! 42 inch Plasma tvs for 1299! What caused this dramatic price drop in two years? And is the quality improving or is it the same?
