Star wars vessels employ lasers which have been described in star trek dialogue as little threat to the Trek Ships such as the Enterprise (D). Quantum torpedo's such as the once employed in DS9 can irradicate all life on a planet like the Death Star. Assuming we're talking starfleet VS the empire I think you'd be dealing with a long brutal conflict where the federation would eventually win after suffering significant civilian losses to reaving star destroyers, Ship by ship the trek technology would be supperior enough to practically guarantee a federation victory in most toe to toe battles.
That being said Star Wars has made two to three times more money which needs to count for something.
