My 12-week old has been stuggling for 6 weeks with VERY frequent spit-up and constipation. At about 8 weeks old he started screaming/crying more frequently (colic???). My husband and I are pulling our hair out trying to soothe him, but NOTHING works! For the constipation we have him on a prescription stool softener every day (1/2 tsp. in one bottle/day)and have still had to give suppositories! For the spit-up we've tried everything: different formulas, different positions, different bottles. We have not yet tried Enfamil's Nutrimigen, but we think that will be our only option. And for the colic, we hold him...CONSTANTLY! We do feel that if the constipation and spit-up were gone, he wouldn't be so fussy...but we're running out of ideas! Our doctor basically told us to try everything we could to help soothe him and if nothing works, then she'll refer us to a specialist...we just want to make sure we've explored ALL of our options before resorting to surgeries,etc...HELP US!!!

I often see preachers using fear mongering to try to sway the people to follow them. However I find this to be very unnerving. I do not mind religion at all, or what people believe in, but this is extremism.

For example I recently got a flyer from a Jehovah's Witness preacher saying that a "nuclear baby" is coming. It implies that nuclear war is coming, and also implies that somehow becoming a Jehovah's Witness will lead to some form of salvation. I find this to be just a tad much.

What can be done in such cases? Should nothing be done? Is it wrong for them to use fear to influence people?

I do, I love perfume and smelling good is important to me, but it ticks me off that no one mentions how nice I smell. ♥

Is there any way to home cook a good cat food? I have 7 cats, 5 of my own and 2 belong to my adult son who is living with us. The animals are members of my family and we want to provide the best and not have to worry whether they will die from some commercial pet food on the market. I know that cats need taurine. I am going to try study on what is essential in a feline diet and try to cook a healthy food at home for them. Is this possible?Anyone know of a company that uses good quality meats and grains to make their product?

Why do people bully?
Is there really such a need?
Why cant people just be kind to one another?

i didnt help plan it ..and it is susposed to be a surprise..but i have a lot of friends emailing me telling me they are gonna bring their kids with them to my baby shower..i told my mom who is throwing it about them trying to bring their children and shes not fond of the idea..its not a childrens party ..its a baby shower...i dont even want children there..i feel this is my first baby shower i dont want to hear children screaming or misbehaving..i mean 30 people are coming..and out of the people who responded that was about 10 kids they were trying to bring ..im trying to help my mom now b.c i dont know what else to do but have her call them and tell them please dont bring children..is that mean>? or do you think it is fair..?please no mean answers this is stressing me enough..and my mom is having a terrible time with it at the moment.

One day God was looking down at earth and saw all of
the rascally behavior that was going on. So he called
one of his angels and sent the angel to earth for a

It's true. The earth is in decline; 95% are
misbehaving, but 5% are being good.

God was not pleased, so he decided to email the 5% who
were good, because he wanted to encourage them, give
them a little something to help them keep going.
