You actually answered it for me. Both of the far sides - left or right - is terrible for this country.
In my opinion, most of this country is in the middle. The media and politicians make us choose sides, or they place us on one side or the other. This is part of the reason why this country is divided.

We may never see balance in America or even a willingness to live & let live, the differences are just getting to be too great, maybe a great leader could pull us together but I don't see one on the horizon.
