I work in AL, Live in Florida, Florida has no state income tax yet my company took out some state taxes. Do I get this money back?

I know they say not to cosleep, not to put blankets or stuffed animals in bed with your baby, not to smoke around your baby, etc. How did they come up with this? My cousin did none of the above and his daughter still died at 3 months because of SIDS. I coslept with both of my daughters and neither of them died of sids. How do they know for sure though?

My daughter is 2 and i am not sure if she is old enough for a twin bed. we have one that has rails built into it. She is really tall so I dont think she will be fitting in the crib much longer. If i do decide on it how do i make the transition a little bit easier on her and us?

I have recently purchased a few single-DVDs of "Batman the Animated Series" and have enjoyed them. I am considering buying some complete-season sets. While at Wal-mart the other day, I saw DVDs for another animated series "The Batman." I really enjoy/appreciate the story, voice, and animation quality of the "Batman - the Animated Series" episodes I have seen. Will I also enjoy "The Batman" series? Note 1: I am in my 40's and was a comic book fan as a child and teen. So - I'm not looking for a "SuperFriends" type of cartoon. Note 2: Please answer only if you really know what you are writing about. Don't just paste-in a handful of Internett links. I want to hear from people who have viewed both series, and can offer an intelligent opinion. Thanks!

I am in the process of planning my wedding and have came across the perfect reception site. My fiance and I have already looked at it, and really want to use it. When talking to the woman who makes the reservations, when asked about signing the contract, told me that there was no contract. All she does is send you a paper saying when the room is reserved for you.

What types of complications can arise in this situation and would it be a good idea to draft up my own to cover myself? I am a bit nervous about agreeing to the use of the room with nothing outlining my rights and theirs. Or is it if there is no written contract the other person cannot be held liable in court for anything?

Side note- this is a very well known establishment and has excellent references and reviews.

David S asked a similar q - Why blame UK & USA?. He chose a BA before I could post my answer, hence this q challenging his view that religion is irrational and outmoded and we should start to believe in "the essential logic of human kindness".

6000 years ago God told mankind to show respect, not to murder, not to commit adultery, not to steal and not to give false testimony. ANYTHING IRRATIONAL AND OUTMODED ABOUT THAT? Wouldn't the world be a better place if everyone followed these rules?

Is there any evidence to support the idea that human kindness is the way forward?

In the paper it said that the American Idol people are saying that Paula Abdul might be replace next year as a judge on American Idol. They say it is her different personality. Hello! I've read countless blogs, info sites, and other users comments, but I wanted to ask for other people's opinions on what's happening to me. On days labelled 7 & 8 of my birth controlled cycle (which were really days 11 and 12 if you start counting from the first day of my last period) I had unprotected sex with my hubby...twice (what can I say, we're newly weds!). Following those days I took two pills for two days to make up for the pills I missed. My breasts were VERY sensitive and sore, I felt extremely nauseated, and had slight cramping in the abdomen. Browsed the internet like mad to see if that may mean pregnancy, but was not convinced. Yesterday I went to the bathroom and saw some light blood on the paper when I cleaned myself up. It's much lighter than my period bleeding is. Now it's one week before my period should start (I have one more pill to take and then I'm on my 7 days off the pill). Was that implant bleeding? So far none today...am I pregnant?
