The Mets....Because I hate the Yankees! No one will say this but,..Because of the owners "Steinbrenner" greed and unlimited funds, he has "Stolen" many great players from teams that where not so financially secure. Thus he bought championships! His greed has resulted in the ridiculous salary's we see in all sports today!

When looking at both teams i start in the outfield. The yankees have matsui, damon, and abreu. Which all three are capable of being all-stars but the mets have green, alou, beltran, so they are quite equal. The infield is better for the yankees because of the newly aquired doug mientkiewicz will help out a-rod's throwing problem. The hitting belongs to the yankees. However the pitching belongs to the mets especially if pedro comes back on fire. Overall it's pretty hard to win without good pitching. Just look at the royals. My pick would have to go to the Mets.

Yankees have the better team. They have the money to get all the superstars. They make the playoffs every year unlike the mets who might make it one year and the next year come in 3rd or 4th place. Also the mets didnt do that well during the off season where the yankees did very well improving on young players, pitching, and maybe on 1 or 2 hitters. The mets put all their eggs in one basket for Barry Zito and didnt get him and now there starting pitcher arent that strong.

The Mets are a better balanced team and have more weapons. They also have a younger nucleus while the Yankees are made up of overpaid all stars that are aging.

The Yankees because they have the most money, their pitching staff has improved and even without Sheffield, the Yankees have the most feared lineup in baseball.

The Mets are the better team because they play as a team. The yankees suck because they spend all this money and don't get as far in the playoffs.

On paper it looks like the Yankees should be better. They have a more complete pitching staff and not to mention a better manager.

now i know the met's had a good season last year but untill they start doing that every year you have to say the yankees cuz every year there in the mix for a world series and always take the east... and i do belive that was the met's frist division title in the last 14 year's so yeah deffentily the yankees
