Two weeks ago, I had unprotected sex but my partner did not ejaculate. Feeling overwhelmed and paranoid, I purchased Plan B. The pharmacist said that I should be getting my period soon. But seeing as how I did not exactly need it in the first place, does this mean my period will be delayed or not come at all? Did is act as a sporatic form of the pill?

In addition to all of this, I've stopped discharging completely. Is this just another one of the side effects of unnecessary Plan B use?

I didn't even notice when it happened. At first the images were lighter/grayer than normal. and next time i turned it on, there was no images but the audio is fine. i can't even see the volume or channels. no difference when i switch to tv/audio and turn on my dvd player. So now i am "listening" to cable and dvds. i assume it is the tv tube. is it worth repairing or just buying a new one?

Thanks for any insights or advice.

When you send cards just to say hello, or let others know you're thinking of them, they will often do the same on major holidays.

If you do not celebrate those holidays due to your beliefs, how do you respond after receiving these cards? Do you ignore them, or call and explain your reasons? If you choose the latter, how do most people react?

Most people don't send cards expecting anything in return, but some may be insulted if you don't respond at all. I have my way of handling this situation, but I'm curious to know how others would go about it. Soon Valentine's Day, Easter, and other holidays will soon be here. Thanks.

ethical? If someone translates their concept of freedom through the duties expressed by the State in the understanding that the State is ethical, what happens if, in hindsight, the State was not infact truly ethical, and the person's understand was thus wrong? Would that mean that they weren't actually free? If we apply that theory to us today, does that mean that although we think we are free, we might not be?

Just trying to comprehend Hegel's The Philosophy of Right. Any help welcome, thanks in advance

Was Muhammad a messager of spiritual instability?

Do we have reason to suspect that Muhammad suffered from either mental disease or demonic influence? The evidence from the earliest accounts of his life shows that he may have been psychologically or spiritually unstable before, during, and after his conversion to Islam.

There are accounts to suggesting that Muhammad was imbalance goes all the way back to his childhood.
Muhammad had a nurse who took care of him prior to his mother’s death. This nurse relates the following account of a strange event that occurred during Muhammad’s childhood:

"God has let my son live so far and I have done my duty. I am afraid that ill will befall him, so I have brought him back to you as you wished." She asked me what happened and gave me no peace until I told her. When she asked if I feared a demon possessed him, I replied that I did."

I think it would be interesting to see what percentage of people decide to change their beliefs and how many stay with what they are raised on.
The younger the mind, the easier it is to influence and i think there are a lot of people out there who believe what they do because they can't break out of their mold their parents poured them in. Of course, I understand that some truly have shopped around and stuck with their choice, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the latter is less common.

People who are raised on a given religon that;

Stay? [Consider other religons, but stay?]
Convert?
drop religon altogether?

I can watch old episodes of Only Fools and Horses - one is almost forced to with the present cable set-up! - and they are like Bond films - one cah watch them over and over again. Would you consider them perhaps the best of British? Maybe you can offer an alternative?

I met my boyfriend when I was 18. We met the first day I was in college, because I joined the collegiate newspaper staff and he was already a member. We co-wrote lots of articles together and had all of our classes toegther (we were both journalism majors). We got to be good friends and both graduated. He worked in our college town and I moved away for a year. We kept in close contact and when I moved back we moved in together and have been having a live-in realtionship for 8 months now. I am kind of seeking a propsal now. We are in graduate school togther and I like the idea of a long engagement and the commitment factor. He had already said that he wants to be with me forever, but although it sonds kind of greedy, I want the symbolism of a proposal and a ring...although there is no need for a large ring.

This is a quote by Spritwalker to a recent question, I hope he wont feel its being taken out of context - "At best, science is a series of guesses. They want us to think they have the answers. Everytime they come up with a "fact," it changes a few weeks latter. YBIC."

Science doesn't go on guesses, it goes on evidence - experimental data; if there is new data that doesn't fit with a previous model or hypothesis, we must revise our ideas. Use new theories to explain the universe around us. Is this so awful? He said it changes after a few weeks - well it changes for the better. Is it so awful to admit humans are imperfect and always have more to learn? Doesn't humility make us better?

Would you rather be wrong for a few weeks, or wrong for 2000 years?
