I am moving soon and am trying to decorate my family room..problem is moneys tight so i have to use the existing black leather set (which is a blessing with kids...) i dont know where to start i dont want it to look to manly.. or too dark the floors are medium wood color and directly behind it (its an open space) is the black granite counter top from the kitchen like a little breakfast area i m totally clueless about window treatment and all... please help i am open to any suggestions...thanx

I am about 35 years old and have had two children. I believe that I am done, having children. Other types of birth control has given me side effects that I can't easily ignore, like when I was younger.
I am not sure what I am in for by having my tubes snipped. Is there any side effects-emotionally, physically, menstral cycle, loss of sex drive, or mood swings? I really don't have anyone who has had this done to get advice from. The doctors will tell you one thing, but I would like to knwo from some others. Thanks for the input.

Right now they have a dress-shoe style sole, which means they're pretty slippery to walk with. Is there something I can buy to like, stick at the bottom. I can't wear them if they're so hard to walk in.. help!

I've been given an oppurtunity to join a program called Summer Search. The program sends me on two trips (each during summer vacation). The first is to any western state (Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, etc) and i plan on going to Nevada because i currently live in California. Well im 16 yrs but i like this girl that 15. Were both very good friends. Though its been like 2 months since we talked due to our different classes and all. I have a long finned minor tetra. About a week and a half ago I noticed her going belly up so I seperated her from the other fish and put her in a glass container beside the tank to see what happened. She lived through the night so I researched and found out she may have swimmers bladder. I have been treating her for that.
I also noticed when I seperated her that her tail which was perfectly straight before is not curved upward (allot). What would cause that to happen?
Four days ago my dog also pulled the container from the table spilling her onto the floorbin an effort to bring me the towel under her bowl to wipe his mouth. So I know she is definetly a survivor.
Any thought on the curled up tail would be appreciated. Also any humane ways to put her out of her misery if its something bad. I am glad I did'nt flush her a week and a half ago when this started.
