The most powerful memory I have is finding my grandmother in her apartment after she had a stroke. She was lying face down on her living room floor in a puddle of blood from a facial hematoma. I had to call 911 then run down 4 flights of stairs to let the paramedics in. When they rolled her over her face was black from the blood but only on the right hand side. She slipped into a coma and dies two weeks later. I can still see every detail, event smell the smells and feel the weight of the portable EKG machine I helped carry to the ambulance.

This is hard for me to answer because my grandfather which we call Poppa is terminally ill and I was about 4years old and he and my gma bought me two water guns for my birthday so he and I could play, well we were on his front porch and I yelled shoot me Poppa and ran right off the porch and broke my growth bone. This is my greatest and worst memory of all times and it is harder now because I know he isnt going to be here forever or for much longer. Also the day my daughter (who will soon be three) and I had a wedding marrying the greatest man in the world that treats my daughter like she is his own daughter and he is the man that she calls daddy. There are two of my favorite memories!!! Thanks for letting me share.

i have alot of memories, but the one thing I remember most and first is this ( might be long sorry )

When I was little, my dad owned a triumph, kinda like a harley.
There were 4 of us, me, sister, mom and dad. My mom would ride in the back, then my sister, my dad and then me perched up on the helm. NOW looking back this wasnt smart cause I was sitting almost on the gast tank. I always wore this sparkly blue helmet that was to big for me but my dad would ride us around the neighborhood and it felt like I was flying.
I want to cry now, lol. That is a lasting memory for me!

My friend and I went to Hawaii the summer before she passed away from Leukaemia. We wend snorkeling but we were both afraid of sharks so we held hands while we floated with the fish and the turtles. It was so peaceful and beautiful.
At her funeral, her uncle read a part of her journal and she wrote that, that trip was the best time in her life. I am so thankful for beautiful moments like that to remind me of the beautiful people I've had the opportunity to love.

My most 'lasting' memory is that of my Mother rocking me when I was 4...I can recall how it felt so safe and warm in her arms...I can still smell her and feel her. My Mother died in 1985;and I am 58 years old ---- I will always miss my Mother.
