Well, here I go, I am a 25-year-old Sri lankan girl living in Munich, I'd like to meet people from the U.k or british Indians/ Sri lankans, as friends. I've been living in Munich for 11 years now, and would like to find people to get together for chats in english. How can I do this? A couple years ago, I was abused by my parents but I am the type of person that doesn't take anything from anyone so when the start getting forceful and punching, hitting, pushing, and kicking me, I tried to get them off of me and fight back, Is this still considered abuse? Also, last month my brother came after me and I locked myself in my room and he came in and was pushing me really hard onto the ground numerous amounts of time, one of these times he pushed me and a glass fell over and shattered on the hard wood floors and I sliced my knee open and needed stitches and right after that, I was pushed and I fell and broke my finger which shattered the bones. Is this situation still abuse even though I pushed him off of me and was trying to hurt him back? I called the cops after the fight with my brother. Was I out of line for doing so? I NEED ANSWERS.

I know the earth is closest to the sun during the northern hemisphere's winter solstice. It is the northern hemisphere's "tilt" away from the sun that helps "produce" our winter. So, due to the earth's proximity to the sun and its "tilt," during our winter, does the southern hemisphere have more warmer summers. They are closest to the sun and tilted towards the sun.
Are winters in the southern hemisphere colder? They are then further away and tilted away.

I have to invent a whole new society with new laws and values for my art project. Here are some of my ideas so far-
Have ninja or robot cops
Smoking ban throughout the world
Peace ( No war no more )
Better cleaner environment ( Improved recycling )
A limit to cars per household
Anyone committing crime will be sent in a canon to pluto
End to poverty. Everyone gets paid the same.

Obviously some of these laws are a little silly and will never take place, but its the design process that is most important to my project. It's just these law ideas is the thing that is holding me back from getting to actually deesign what I am to design for the project.
If anyone can think of any additional laws or beliefs I will be very grateful. They can be funny or stupid. It doesn't really matter. The better the ideas, the more I have to work with. Can even be similar to the monster raving looney party's ideas.

I have a box of recordable CD-Rs and on the label it states 80min / 700 MB. I have just tried to burn 40 tracks of music. The total file space was well within the 700 MB limit but I'm sure that the total length of the tracks was more than 80 min.

I used Winows Media player to do the burning. The burning seemed to go ok but after the CD had been ejected and reinserted it would not play anything and no tracks were listed in Windows Explorer.

When I made another attempt, Windows Media player warned that files past a certain limit would not fit. Should this warning always appear?

I assume that if the files exceed 80 min in length, they will not fit on the CD-R, even if the total file length does not exceed 700 MB but would apprciate confirmation of this!
