It rains often where I live and I also have heavy clay soil. Wearing shoes or boots in the wet garden means tons of soil sticks to them and also causes soil compaction. However, walking barefoot in the garden does not cause this if the soil is not totally saturated.

I have found that working in the garden barefoot has made me a better gardener in that I can tend to weeding and harvesting quicker after it rains. To wear shoes, typically we must wait 2 to 3 days before entering the garden to accomplish anything, so weeds tend to grow out of control and produce gets overly mature.

There are still some tasks that cannot be done, for example, beans should never be touched when the plants are wet -- that is an old wives tale that is true. But, basically, barefoot gardening is a good thing. If you have never tried it, I recommend it some time.

I love almost everything British. There aren't many songs where you can REALLY hear a STRONG Brit accent. Here are a few that I know of: Mrs Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter (Herman's Hermits), Love My Way (Psychedelic Furs), Friday Night, Saturday Morning (The Specials - really fun song, by the way), How Soon Is Now (The Smiths) and Making Plans for Nigel (XTC). I work in a company that use spector pro and im tired of they using my information in many cases personal and private.

Ok, I'ma guy. I'm 15 a Sophomore in High School.
Everyday I go to school not trying to dress good or like doing my hair or anythin. In fact I purposely try to dress bad because I don't want any girls liking me. Not that I'm gay or anything but because, I don't know I just don't want to get distracted from studies.
But, what do you know, this girl started to like me. >.< Not that I'm takin her attraction to me for granted or anythin but like now I have to reject her cause I don't like her.
I don't want to destroy her heart so that she can never like anyone again but I still have to tell her off. She is not my friend or anything we hardly know eachother, and yea. What should I do/say?

My birthhday is on saturday October 21.. And I want to go to Knott's Halloween Haunt on friday October 20th. My dad said he wouldnb't pay ( He said he doesn't think my birthday's that important.) I asked what if my mom bought the tickets he said fine.. So i called her and She was going to buy them for me and bring them to me at school on friday afternoon. Someone really dear to me was terminated from her job, because she was expecting her third child. In Malaysia, the federal constitution guarantees that a working mother be accorded full maternity benefits without losing her job up to 5 surviving children. However, her employers Malaysia Airlines enforces a collective agreement that was signed by the Airline's union to only 2 children!
Further previously terminated stewardesses have lost their cases in Malaysian Courts because of this technicality! It seems that in the eyes of Malaysian Law, the Federal Constitution is not applicable to contracts between two private individuals/entities.
In other words, Malaysia Airlines can continue to abuse the rights of these mothers, so long as it feels the need to wihtout contravening Malaysian Laws! This sounds absurd to me.
I would like to know if such law exists in any other countries?
