I love almost everything British. There aren't many songs where you can REALLY hear a STRONG Brit accent. Here are a few that I know of: Mrs Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter (Herman's Hermits), Love My Way (Psychedelic Furs), Friday Night, Saturday Morning (The Specials - really fun song, by the way), How Soon Is Now (The Smiths) and Making Plans for Nigel (XTC). Any more titles would be greatly appreciated!

Billy Bragg "A New England" "Ingrid Bergman" "Way Over Yonder In The Minor Key"
Blur "Song 2"
The English Beat, "Save it for later"
The Kinks, "Better Things"
Kirsty MacColl, "They Don't Know"
Madness, "Bed and Breakfastman", "Our House"
Wendy James "Now Aint' the Time For Your Tears" (out of print album written by Elvis Costello)

I also think Nirvana's Kurt Cobain said he adopted a fake british accent to sing their songs.

Try all of "The Proclaimers" back catalogue..esp. "Letter from America" or "I'm on my way"..Very talented and highly underated band (Imho).
Oh Btw.. to the person who thought that "Dexy's Midnight Runners" were Scottish..just like "The Proclaimers", I can assure you that this band hailed from Birmingham UK, altho' I believe that the lead vocalist, Kevin Rowland, is originally from Ireland.
Hope that helps.
Take Care..Mark..
