Ignorant Americans?

Why is the average, middle class American growing increasingly apathetic and unconcerned with culture and his/her fellow human being? I see kids running around, pushing adults out of the way, telling their mothers to shut up, and it's unbelievable.
I'm not saying ALL Americans are like this, so please give only constructive answers.

My husband would rather watch porn than have sex with me?

I know it is is hard as we have 2 young children, and timing is an issue but there is opportunity, and I know when he says he is going for a little nap in the middle of day or after work exactly what he is doing, because I have caught him on numerous occasions, and then he wonders why I get so upset.

Don't you hate when?

an old lady drops their wallet, and you go up to help her, and she starts screaming "he's taking my wallet! help! help!"
so you you know I did the most reasonable thing to do , and that was an uppercut to the chin. Then all of the sudden I'm the bad guy, and all I did was to try to help an old lady.
