an old lady drops their wallet, and you go up to help her, and she starts screaming "he's taking my wallet! help! help!"
so you you know I did the most reasonable thing to do , and that was an uppercut to the chin. Then all of the sudden I'm the bad guy, and all I did was to try to help an old lady.

Yup! Happened to me a few weeks ago in a drug store. An old lady left her purse in a shopping cart by the door and as I picked it up to run out to the parking lot to give it to her, she ran back in and told me to leave her stuff alone!
I guess we're all criminals in advance these days!

I can certaily understand what you mean .my friend and I was behind some elderly guy and he dropped a 20 . I picked it up and ran after him to give it to him . He snatched it out of my hand gaved me a dirty look and grumped away ...my friend stated if I had knew that was his personality / attitude I would should of just kept it ..but I am too honest for that

yeah i got you beat. this lady was getting beat up outside one day at 3 pm and i approach to help and ask " is their a problem? can i help?" the lady turns to me and spits blood and yells f##k off you nosy a$$hole. i started laughing and walked away. ppl are a mess
