I'm planning to take a trip, but in order to time things right I'll have to take one airline going over and another airline going back. What kinds of problems will this create? Will I have to pay more for my ticket? Why do people usually take the same airline going both ways?

I am trying to research areas to live that are close to museums, theater, art shops, close to a college, and most of all a place of with lots of culture. Does anyone know of any good ideas or even a website of which i could put in what i am looking for? Place with not so hot summers, moderate winters, lots of outdoors activities and close to the arts...a place where an artist could thrive.

for oprah, money is no object. but if you wanted to take a seven-day cross country (seven stops in seven days along the way) trip from the pacific to the atlantic, which route(s) would you take? which sites or cities would be 'must-sees' on your itinerary? who would you take with you?

I'm about to fly for the first time since the new rules went into effect and I know that liquids etc are suppose to be 3 oz. or less and everything has to fit in a qt. zip lock bag, but are there any new rules that are not being covered by the news? I don't want any surprises from the security area that will cause me to throw away my makeup or shampoo.

Thank you, Kathleen
