I'm about to fly for the first time since the new rules went into effect and I know that liquids etc are suppose to be 3 oz. or less and everything has to fit in a qt. zip lock bag, but are there any new rules that are not being covered by the news? I don't want any surprises from the security area that will cause me to throw away my makeup or shampoo.

Thank you, Kathleen

Hi Kathleen,

Do what I did or do. I do not take toiletries with me. If I stay at a hotel. I buy them upon arrival. If I stay with family or friends I ask them to pick it up for me so when I arrive, I have it. Makes the carry on luggage much lighter too.
good luck and have a nice trip.

I'm traveling in December, so I've been trying to keep up on the latest regulations too. This website is really handy. It lists the lastest rules on a day to day basis. I've got it on my Favorites list:
