Wow, that's a nice size tax for the UK Government.

Can I get a VAT Return on hotels and things I buy in the shops?

If so, how do I do that?

Cheers,

-Rob

Hi everyone! I am heading to Scotland in 10 days. I have my entire trip planned out with one part missing. I am going to the Isle of Skye for a couple of days and I can't decide where to make my base. I was planning on Portree but I have heard it is kind of disappointing. Any other ideas? I will not have a car. I also won't be hiking or taking nature walks or anything like that. Let me know if anybody has any suggestions. I would really appreciate it.

I'm taking my new Bride to London, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. We are flying into London for 4 nights, then Edinburgh for 3 nights, and Glasgow for 3 nights and back to Boston from Glasgow.

I'm thinking of B&B's in all three locatins since they are inexpensive, but can also be very charming.

Any suggestions on my idea or where to stay? Cheers,

I need to get from Sheffield to London and have been told that it's sometimes cheaper to buy lots of single tickets instead of paying alot for one ticket which covers the whole journey. However, in order to do that I need to know which stations the train will stop at....is there a website which has journeys on?

My husband and I, my mother, and my three year old son are considering visiting Scotland. We would like to stay in a small town and experience what it is really like to live in Scotland. We would prefer to stay in a town large enough for a grocery store but too small for a mall. A town with good pubs and eateries, outdoor activities, parks for children and golf anyone out there who would like to nominate a town - let me know. Also - we will be renting a car so transportation to major areas of interest will not be a problem. Let me know if there are any areas of interest that are off the beaten path. Thanking you in advance.

I have friends coming to England via Gatwick airport. I heard you can catch the train from Gatwick to Bedford without switching trains. Is this true?
