My girlfriend and I have been seperated from each other by 4 months and 5000 miles and it has caused a lot of problems. We neither have dealt with being apart very well and I finally saved up enough money to fly to be with her. But she might not collect me from the airport. What do I do then, just wander around London with tears in my eyes and fly back home brokenhearted??? I have felt dead inside since she had to go back and I can't stand it any longer. So I booked the flight. She is angry with me because I booked it without her approval. I know it was wrong of me but I can't just sit back and let us grow further and further apart. Please, tell me what you would do? I'll arrive at around 7:30 a.m. at London Gatwick on the 28th of this month either way because I just have to try!

Having a family holiday in England. We will be staying for four weeks. There will be 3 adults and 4 children. I'm just looking for a average cost. We will be traveling all around England and hoping to stay in Paris for a couple days before we leave. Just an average cost of car hire, food costs, accomdation and fuel. Thanks to all who answer.

One person would be arriving at Euston station, the other person would be arriving at King's Cross. Neither person knows London very well, but we don't mind using the tube if we have to. We're looking for a well known and easily identifiable landmark or something, preferably near shops, pubs, etc.

I am currently living in the U.K. man, this place sux. The plumbing in England is useless, you cant flush the damn toilet without the right touch and your showers have no pressure what-so-ever. Your stores close at 5 p.m. and your bars close around 6. You serve warm beers, people don't know what a clothes dryer is, you don't have sweet baby ray's bbq sauce (WTF!?) All the boys here have highlighted spiked hair, tight pants, eyeliner, and green day hoodies. Your accent is total ****, not like the ones you hear on tv that are from London. Your teeth are horrid. Your cars are the ultra suck, you can't drive trucks or suvs there because your roads aren't wide enough to hold them. The weather is overcast every damn day, you don't see the sun at all. America was founded by people who hated the eurotrash way, and strived to be better so that's why America IS better. England is much older than America is, but America still dominates you. I"m moving back to America as soon as I'm done here.
