We want to see Atlantis when we are in port there. I have two kids ages 5,7 who are little fish themselves and will want to use the pools, slides etc. The day pass that they sell in the Casino is only for the grounds not for pools. Does anyone know how to fully use Atlantis for a day? We don't want to pay for a hotel room there for a day! Too pricey!

It is our first time there. We were thinking of going the weekend after new years, friday to Sunday night. Do we need anything else than passports to get into the country?
Any websites or tips I can get would be a plus, thank you!

(no i am not insane)
I was thinking the other day that maybe the government controls us by these 'toys' to keep us busy by... erm not facing our real problems.

Erm I know it is human nature to not face things but it was just a thought.

If people got their heads out of their 'toys' don't you think there would be riots?

Just wondering.
America isn't free anymore

I'm interested to find out what your top 10 tourist destinations from around the world are?

Where have you been to in the world and what was your top 10 destinations that you would reckonmend to other travellers travelling to other countries for the first time or for those who are Australians and have been overseas before and wishing to find out where to travel to next?

The destinations can be anywhere in the world including local attractions, big attractions and hard to find ones too.

Looking forward to hearing some answers soon!

Thank you

From Clint

I prefer some details in your answer please :). I would like to know if it is friendly, or country or urban, etc. Any details you can think of that make this your preferred place to live.

I got a call that said that if we attend a 90 minute seminar for Blue Ridge resorts, that we'll get 4 r/t airline tickets and a Visa gift card. I'm always skeptical and I know you don't get anything for "free", so I asked her what was in it for them. She said this is how they do promotions, and it's worth it for them to get us to listen to their presentation.

Has anyone else done this and actually received airline tickets that worked?

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this, or known someone who has.

Thanks.

I grew up on Long Island.. which basically sits in the shadow of New York City. I've always had access to the city.. where I ended up moving after college. I've lived in NYC for four months now and I admit, I love the stimulation, the ability to do anything at any hour, and all the people to meet here.

.... but.. past the late nights at the bars (which aren't always my thing), the museums, the broadway shows... I always wish I was out doing something else. Whether downhill skiing, horseback riding, driving down a secluded wooded road with the windows wide open.. etc. I can't tell if I'm in the wrong place, or whether everybody who lives in a major city has the desire for an open road and more space.

Part of my question to you city-goers. What keeps you in the city? I can't tell if the reasons I want to leave are because my heart's not here or if I need a vacation...(!)

Can anybody give me some input? Thanks!
